“Friendly and welcoming staff. Unexpected room upgrade upon arrival which was wonderful. If you want charm in a beautiful Highlands locale along the whisky trail, this is it. “We stayed three nights at the Hotel Square in Tomintoul. Although this is an older facility which could use a few updates to rugs, curtains, etc., we were very happy there. The hotel is clean, beds are super comfortable and the rooms are large and supplied with everything we needed. Breakfast was very good! Most importantly, the staff was friendly and helpful, providing great service. We had a lovely stay!”

“I did a last minute booking, and it was a good choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious. The bed was softer than I am used to, but I slept well. The shower took a couple of minutes to get hot, but once it did, it was nice. I had supper there, and it was very good, as was the made-to-order breakfast. There is a nice lounge area to sit and have a drink. Spey Beach was a short drive away, and was a nice “pebble” beach walk. ”
