"Excellent stay at Maison di Fiore with easy access to Herculaneum, Vesuvius and Naples / the airport. This is real family hospitality - their whole family went out of their way to make my stay amazing and personal, offering a custom experience through transport (they took me to Herculaneum, Vesuvius and the airport themselves) and excellent food. I haven’t experienced such good hospitality in a long time, truly 5 star! "

"Gino (I hope I’m spelling his name correctly) made you feel like home, he was very attentive and friendly. The room is very comfortable and spacious. It’s overall quiet and restful. The area around the property, and the town as a whole might disquiet some, it’s more the “real” Italy than the manicured tourist towns some expect. Visit for the Roman ruins, the volcano, and the food. The beach needs a lot of improvements to be a tourist pull."

"Stayed here back at the end of January. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, recommended some lovely restaurants and bakeries nearby. Check in process was quick and easy. Location is pretty good too, lots of amenities nearby and a train station is about a 5-10 minute walk away. Can't complain about anything "

"I didn't stay ! After arriving and having the owner yelling at me and then yelling at Hotels.com rep. And feeling very unsafe, threatened, scared and locked in!! I left in absolute Tears. Even a man sitting on the bench out front says the owner is horriblen yelling all the time. Don't go here unless you're ready to battle.!!"

"Only downside is there are 53 stairs up and no elevator. Great history of the building and Salvadore is a great host. Just a short walk to Herculean and restaurants close by."
