"First, the staff was friendly and helpful. What I would consider "lacking" is the breakfast, which could be more appealing in presentation and the coffee was at times not close to warm. I know breakfast "bars" can leave something to be desired, and this one does. If I had to do over again, I would have gone out for breakfast. The light fixture in our bathroom shower is missing, which was very "low standard" when you look up and see the bulb in the fixture hanging there. The room was clean, I will say that. That's not nothing. It is an "old" property, so you can only do so much. I get that. I believe the charge of $300/night, with another $90 in taxes, so $710 for TWO nights total is NOT WORTH what you get. That is not a $300/night hotel. I understand it's Paso Robles and places are charging more. This hotel was near an industrial part of the city with our room overlooking a baron piece of property full of dilapidated equipment, basically junk, and the area was just "seedy". I will take some blame and say we should have done our homework better. It was just not up to the standard we are used to; that's on us. I asked for an invoice, and the desk clerk said, "Expedia will send it to you." Well, what if the charges were wrong?? That seems like "passing the buck" to me, and if that is an Expedia price, what is THEIR price??"
