"We stay here every time we go to Savannah and we absolutely love the hotel. It is near everything, great view from f the river, and it is always a quick and friendly check in. "

"Stayed here for a little trip to Savannah. Had a breakfast buffet but we didn't eat there so can't comment on it. Very central location and easy walk to many sights, bars, restaurants. When we arrived, we got there at 3pm. Check in is at 4. We were told we could pay $30 to check in early....dude, it's an hour! The hotel was also very unoccupied so it's not like they were kicking someone out early for our check in. We were on the 3rd floor and every room we passed on the first and third floors were unoccupied. I thought it was kind of nickel and diming but whatever. We paid. Can't comment on how soundproof the rooms are b/c there was no one on either side of us the four days we were there. For a fun thing - go to the Marriott a few streets behind here (near the water) and walk around inside and see all the dinosaur bones and gems/geodes. It is really neat and free!"

"We truly had the best experience here. From start to finish everybody was wonderful fantastic view, fantastic location, close to everything. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable."

"The DeSoto is in the perfect location! We were able to easily walk everywhere and were surrounded by beautiful willow trees and a surplus of bars and restaurants. The lobby of the hotel was beautiful and clean. There was an awesome bar in the lobby as well. There was a nice gym and pool. I was surprised by the wear and tear of the room. It was a very spacious room, with comfortable beds and modern decor; however, there was a lot of paint that needed retouched up. The paint on the door to the room was completely chipping off on two sides, there were marks on the walls that needed painted over, the vent in the shower was completely filled with dust, and some stains on the ceiling, etc. I was just surprised with how pristine the lobby and everything else is, that these easy revocations/cleaning/updates were not done."

"Staff was friendly, but we have a few things to comment about. We stayed there for parents weekend having our son at SCAD. The first day we spent a couple of hours at the pool because our son was in class and the water was too cold and the pool was not clean at all. There bugs, little leaves and polen in the pool. The TV in our room never worked. As you flipped channels it was going to channel 28 to channel 41, to 37 then 68 as I was clicking up on the channels. Then Friday and Saturday night my wife couldn’t sleep because it was too much movie out on the street and also people taking and partying in our floor. Too much noise. We will considerate other places for our next visits."

"Nice place to stay. The staff was excellent and out going, helpful, and always asked if there was anything you needed. Breakfast was amazing and the meet and greet on Monday through Wednesday was a fun time to get together with other travelers."
