"The hotel has an excellent location, just minutes from Waverley Station, which was very convenient as we arrived via train. At the end of our stay, we walked 5 minutes to the Airlink 100 bus stop on Waverley Bridge, so it was close to airport transportation as well. We were minutes from the Royal Mile and close to New Town too. The hot breakfast offerings were great and the breakfast buffet was well stocked with a good variety of fruit, cereal, yogurt, baked goods, meats and cheeses. I especially enjoyed the included champagne at breakfast. We also enjoyed the in-room snacks with Scottish brands, which were also included. The Artist Vista room was small but adequate and had creative space solutions, such as the sliding wood panel that functioned as a curtain. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again!"

"Room was great. Breakfast was one of the best we've had at a hotel. Location was spot on for the train but also for the royal mile. The only downside was check in. The staff were not very friendly and it was awkward to find our room. We were told to go down this way to find floor 4. There was a lift but it only went to rooms up to 432. Luckily a bar staff member told us we had to walk another 30 seconds around into the new building works area to find a second lift. There was no signs or anything to say this so i feel the reception staff should be telling people this. Overall a really good stay and would stay again. "

"Good location right outside station and near bus and trams. Hotel is not too bad the rooms were nice but they were rather stuffy and hot despite the air con saying it was 18 which impacted our sleep. The area near the door where the air con unit is was lovely and cool but not the rest of the room. Beds were comfortable and the rooms had everything we needed. Liked the Dove toiletries. I was unaware I had booked a room without a window which added to the temperature of the room. Breakfast was ok nothing too major just your standard cooked breakfast, yoghurts, pastries, cereals and some fruit. Overall the hotel is not to bad for what I paid."
