Comfort Suites Downtown

"Not bad. We stayed here for a game at the Bell Centre, location was great. Staff was super friendly. Dealt with about 3 front desk employees during our stay and they were all excellent. We weren’t in the room much, but it definitely sufficed. It was clean, though the place could use a bit of updating. The parking is my only complaint. It’s offsite, and there is someone to park the car for you. But at checkout, it is your responsibility to go retrieve your car. It was alright for us, just slightly inconvenient. But for seniors or anyone with mobility issues, this could be a major problem. Overall pleasant stay. Go Habs!"

"Right across the street from Chinatown and only 10 minutes from Old Montreal so location was exactly what we were looking for. Housekeeping was confusing - they didn’t give us the towels we asked for then took them away the next day. They were even supposed to do any housekeeping so we were confused. View is great. We’d stay here again."

"Concierge is not well informed or particularly helpful. The hotel had water bottles being distributed on the first day, they never replenished when they ran out. The second day they did not have any, when asked was told that was just because of the F1 event in town. Coffee machine near the lobby is often out of coffee and the staff is not very welcoming. Restaurant Le Kube is subpar. DO NOT RECOMMEND THE PLACE!"

"Elevator kept breaking down and had to continually take the stairs. No hairdryer in room and went to front desk and asked for one but it never arrived. Ended up buying one. Floors were not the cleanest as my feet got dirty walking around the room. Overpriced due to F1 weekend but I was in the city for my daughter’s university graduation. For over $800 one night, you should get a hairdryer in your room!! Next time I’ll be staying somewhere else."

Hotel Omni Mont-Royal

6/10 Okay

"Rooms were very dated and kind of dingy. The carpet was somewhat grungy and there were stains on the furniture by the bed. There were chips in the wall and holes in the lampshades. There was no main light switch, just dim individual lamps, one of which didn't work at all and one flickered like a stobe light when turned up, leaving the room dark and gloomy unless it was daytime. For the bathroom, the plumbing had low pressure so the toilet doesn't always flush fully and the shower was weak, but hot water was good. The bed was clean, but very springy and overly mushy. The thermostat seemed to struggle, several degrees warmer than AC listed on not that hot a day, so peak summer might be rough. We received a welcome gift, that was one pair of slippers (we were a couple), one pair of earplugs, and a bag of chips. Staff was very friendly, lobby very nice, but overall I left with a much lower impression of the Omni name."
