โQuiet location around corner of St Johnโs College. Everything is great from atmosphere, deco, in-room amenities to plenty of socket to charge your electronic devices. Great value for money, highly recommended if you are travelling with family that requires the extra space. โ
โBeautiful and calm hotel... Basically, the hotel is well managed so is clean.
But, as like usual hotel in UK, the size of room is very small even with double size bed. โ
โgreat location, clean and tidy but needs some TLC, reception staff were wonderful, breakfast staff were very attentive, bar staff rude, staff rose garden outside were disinterested with no service skill.
breakfast were a good selection and great quality, day menu in the garden was dreadfuil, over priced and poor standard. โ
โWe loved our stay here. Very reasonable but still a lovely hotel and the staff were all very friendly and efficient.
An easy walk into the city, just over the bridge and through the park.

โA one night stopover on the way back from our holiday. We've stayed here before and were impressed with our room. This time we were in some recently added accommodation, The Stable, and we'd have preferred to be in the main building. The room was fine but since there were others walking past the window, the blind had to be down, so it was either dark, or electric light. We could see into others' rooms as we left.

โThe Pub was a grade 2 listed building which was a 1700 era the best way to describe it is Quirky! . The internal pub area was full of history and upstairs the rooms fixtures and fitting new with the decoration being fresh but sympathetic to the age of the building. the food was good Pub Grub and the cooked breakfast was great Full English or Full Scottish Both filling and well cooked, served piping hot! Lovely outside area and caters for Dogs. โ
โHelpful staff, beautifully clean hotel, great food and a comfortable bed. Aircon in the room would have been nice, it was hot weather and difficult to keep the room cool enough to sleep well.โ
โVery nice overall. The property is clean, tidy, nicely designed and in a good location.
One thing to bear in mind is the building is quite tall and narrow, with fairly steep stairs, which my elderly parents had a bit of trouble with. From what I recall, there wasn't an indication when booking of which floor we would be on. I think this would be helpful. We might have picked a different room.
Other than that, a very nice stay.โ
