โAbsolutely stunning views from our room which was very cosy. Staff are friendly very responsive definitely go check out there cafe in town Freda & Ray best breakfast I have had in a while. โ
โBooked just one night as a last minute getaway. Stayed in the Penthouse which has a large blacony with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom great. The beams are low at the edges of the room but we are both tall and managed to avoid them :) I would highly recommend this place and will be staying here again in the future.โ
โI would definitely recommend a stay at Brantfell House. The English breakfast was lovely. Our bed was VERY comfortable!
Adie is full of knowledge and enthusiasm about the area, and is happy to provide recommendations when asked. We felt really welcome here. There is not much parking, so Adie goes out of his way to help out!โ
โThe staff here are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgable about the area. Check in was smooth, lovely big room with hot tub, gorgeous breakfast, comfy bed to name but a few positives. The only slight negative and I emphasis slight - room 2 ground floor can get quite noisy outside due to customers coming and going for breakfast. However this would not put me off and would definitely return. Parking limited.โ
โFriendly caring staff. Great food and service. Comfortable bedrooms with great attention to detail. 100โs of walks straight from the front door, something to suit all abilities. โ
โWe have been staying in hotels around Derwentwater for in excess of 20 years.
The Glaramara experience tops the lot! We will not be looking for an alternative hotel in future.
The accommodation was spacious and well laid out. Much thought has gone into furnishing and decoration of the hotel interior. Everywhere was bright and spotlessly clean.
But above all was the standard of service and friendliness of the staff.
A fabulous hotel.โ
โRelaxing comfortable place by a large lake, easy access to wonderful hikes in the hills.
Itโs not terribly busy even in the peak of the summer, itโs away from the crowds.โ
โThe new owners have retained the character and comfort of the Royal Oak but have improved the facilities. The food was nice but I donโt understand why veg and potatoes are charged extra. โ
โFabulous hotel in the middle of Ambleside.
Staff were all amazing ... fantastic customer service from everyone we encountered. Room was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and very clean and quiet. Plenty of free parking available on site. Public areas were expansive, relaxing and once again very well presented.
We really enjoyed our stay and are already planning a return trip for a longer period. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to all.โ
โAll the staff were very knowledgeable and couldnโt do enough for you. All the food was excellent quality and would highly recommend going to the restaurant for dinner - the drinks were expertly served, and the food was some of the best meals weโve ever had! Perfect setting for a relaxing and reset away.โ
โFabulous friendly and accommodating staff. Incredible hearty breakfast options. Accommodation incredibly quiet leading to a restful nights sleep. Guest parking on site in the heart of the village. Would definitely return.โ
