"Unfortunately, our bags were misplaced during check-in, which created a very stressful and frustrating experience from the start of our trip. While I understand that mistakes can happen, I was disappointed with how the situation was handled by management. The communication regarding our missing bags was confusing, and I felt there was a lack of urgency and empathy given the circumstances. Considering the inconvenience, stress, and uncertainty caused by not knowing where our belongings were, I believe more could have been done to accommodate us and provide reassurance while the issue was being resolved. Overall, the experience left us feeling concerned and dissatisfied with the level of customer service we received."

"I stayed here this past weekend and was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. There was blood on one of the pillows as well as on the bed sheets, which was extremely concerning and unacceptable. And when I called home services or front desk no one answered. I called 3 times. In addition, they didn't put out the champaign i called about for my boyfriends birthday and made me carry it at 11 pm at night. Also, the shower appeared dirty and did not seem to have been properly cleaned before my arrival. Cleanliness is one of the most basic expectations when staying at a hotel, and unfortunately this experience fell far below that standard. I hope management addresses these issues to ensure future guests have a better experience. I'm really sad I've been a loyal customer for 10 years."

"-Good hotel house keepers were nice and helpful -10min walk from the beach -Great room rate -If you download the circuit app you can get picked up and dropped off anywhere in oceanside for $3bucks so that was cool and fun Negatives- -Lots of construction nearby and homeless people just be alert -Need cash for the deposit and they didn't have a working ATM so I had to go out and find an atm -Also need cash to buy any of their snacks and beverages so it would be nice if they offered other methods of payment"

"Our stay was nearly perfect. We had two issues. The first was that during our six day stay, not once did housekeeping come to clean, even when I specifically called and asked for service (and I made sure to remove the privacy tag from the door). The second was the unit next to us partied until 1am on their patio (up to when we called security). Both were resolved by staff. Thank You, Han, at the front desk. We will definitely return to The Welk for vacation. The amenities, staff, and well-equipped units make it worth the trip."
