Omni La Costa Resort & Spa Carlsbad

2/10 Terrible

"Honestly, $45 for public parking is absurd. The resort is total chaos and the quality is pretty low. Rooms just feel and empty and there are hardly any lights on premises making walking around at night seem pretty unsafe. All in all, I’d pick another hotel that is not marketed as a resort for the purposes of squeezing fees out of people. I don’t intend on ever returning."

"We had a very smooth valet and check-in experience, quick and easy, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and clean, and we absolutely loved the ocean view. We were on the 5th floor, above the pool area. The balcony was private, with a great view of the ocean. Checkout was easy - we turned in our room keys, quickly reviewed the charges, retrieved our cars from the valet, and were on our way. This part of Oceanside has been beautifully revitalized, and I definitely recommend a visit, and make sure to stay at the Seabird!"

"Clean room, very cute decor all over. U can go to both hotels and use the amenities. Like the movies and playground inside the castle hotel. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast buffet included, it was ok. Lots of variety. My kids loved it. Walking distance to entrance was a huge plus."

"The gym was not open until 8am/9am. I asked about it multiple times and no one seemed to know why. I cannot stay there as a traveling business person (or even on vacation) if the gym is not open in the mornings. It is just empty so why not have it open with our key card? The door to my room did not close properly so every time I needed to pull with all my might to close it - I am sure bothering everyone on my hall."

"For the price I paid, I wanted a better experience. The food was mediocre, the hot tub didn't work the first day, AC didn't get cold enough, toilet didn't flush well, elevators took forever, and house keeping never cleaned our room. Additional charge to park seemed excessive. The pool was over chlorinated and hot. The first floor bathroom had no toilet paper. The staff was friendly though and the cookie and bottle of water was appreciated."
