Rumor has it, the complex consisting of multiple buildings tiered into the hill/mountain side (up to the highest point between the intersecting interstates and surrounded by pastureland) was originally a Howard Johnson’s! Worth every bit of the nightly rate, before considering the complimentary breakfast…"

"The location is quiet and peaceful despite being handily close to downtown Radford. We loved the location. Check in was easy and efficient. Our room, was okay, though we found a dirty plastic spoon on the floor, upon arrival. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were both empty as well. We discovered, in the middle of the night, that we didn't have an extra roll of toilet paper. It made one feel that perhaps it hadn't had the greatest attention to cleaning. Also, when we tried to get a blanket for the pull out couch, all they could find to bring us was an additional stack of sheets. It truly wasn't terrible, just not great either. "
