“Beautiful place with very friendly staff”

“Peacocks is lovely. There is no B&B front desk; rather, one mentions “we’re staying with you” to the bustling tearoom staff, and someone appears immediately to give you a cheerful welcome to the establishment. Located above the absolutely booming Teahouse on the ground floor, the two upstairs B&B suites are accessed through a side entrance and some stairs. “Not fancy or upscale but well maintained (especially for being a few hundred years old). Clean and up to date, comfortable bed and good size bathroom. Pub and restaurant serving good reasonably priced food. Staffing and service were excellent. ”
