the so called sea view I paid for was little more than a sliver of blue river from my window, not much better from the roof

Sehr komfortables und schön eingerichtetes Hotel

Sehr komfortables und schön eingerichtetes Hotel in sehr zentraler Lage. Der einzige kleine Nachteil bei diesem Hotel ist die Lage in einer kleinen Seitenstraße unweit des Galataturms. Die Straße vor dem Hotel ist sehr steil, was unbedingt zu beachten sein sollte, falls man nicht gut zu Fuß ist. Außerdem wirkt die Straße ein wenig heruntergekommen. Das war es allerdings auch schon an negativen Punkten. Die Terrasse des Hotels ist ein wahrer Traum! Es ist dank dieser fast schon unnötig auf den Galataturm zu steigen (hohe Eintrittspreise für nicht-türkische Bürger!) Getoppt wird das Ganze nur noch dadurch, dass man auf der Terrasse das Frühstück zu sich nehmen kann. Die generelle Lage ist super, man kann in relativ kurzer Zeit die Istiklal Caddesi erreichen, zum Taksim Platz weiter wandern, oder über die Galatabrücke in die historische Altstadt wandern. Das Personal war allzeit bereit zu helfen wo es nur geht. Diese Hilfsbereitschaft ist leider in der Türkei keine Selbstverständlichkeit mehr. Hervorheben möchten wir da an dieser Stelle den Mitarbeiter Ercan, der uns mit seinen Tipps und seiner Freundlichkeit in Erinnerung bleiben wird!

Muy buen hotel en una mala calle

El hotel está impecable, muy buen servicio y habitaciones con decoración clásica pero con todo lo básico. El único inconveniente es la localización del hotel muy dificil de encontrar ya que está en una callejuela bastante empinada y sucia y que no tienen acceso los taxis. Para las personas mayores o con ciertas dificultades no lo recomendaria sólo por ese motivo. En esta zona de la torre Gálata hay que tener en cuenta que todas las calles son empinadas.

Great hotel, street leading to it not so great

I arrived after 9pm, and was really concerned with the street from Galata Tower that leads to the hotel. However, I learned that the area was really safe. The hotel itself really had everything one would need, especially in the room. Breakfast was good, enough options for anyone. Being right by the Galata Tower, makes this hotel really a great one to stay, as it's central...just a quick walk and you're on the Galata Bridge, which takes you to Sultanahmet and the Eminou iskelesi.

Fiyata göre oldukça yeterli...

Eşimle bu hotelde 2 gün geçirdik, Hotel çok temiz, çalışanları çok yardımsever ve güleryüzlü odamız ekonomik özellikli olmasına rağmen oldukça komforluydu. Benim için tek eksik yönü kahvaltı salonu çok küçük ve kahvaltı menüsü yetersizdi biraz daha çeşit arttırılabilirdi.

Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Frühstücksraum etwas klein, kann zu Wartezeiten führen bis man einen Platz bekommt. Frühstücksauswahl entspricht dem Preis.

O hotel é bom, a localização ótima, o que não gostei muito foi na hora do checkout, o recepcionista informou que tínhamos tomado duas águas, sendo que não tomamos e em seguida pediu para o ajudante verificar o bar e tivemos um problema referente a isso. Tínhamos comprado algumas coisas para nossa viagem segunte edeixamos na geladeira e esquecemos, a pessoa verificou o frigobar e viu e informou que estava, mas não entregou nossas coisas que acabaram ficando lá para eles.

Skön atmosfär

Trevlig hotell på bakgata vid Galatatornet. Mitt i smeten, nära till affärsgatan Istiklal, men också en trivsam promenad ner till färjorna och restaurangerna i Karaköy liksom Galatabron med dess folkliv och övergång till turistattraktionerna i Sultanahmet. Mycket höjdskillnader, så det är bra träning för benen. Trevligt hotell i gammal turkisk stil, men se till att få ett rum några våningar upp. Nackdelar är ett svagt internet (vanligt problem i Istanbul) och en viss lyhördhet mellan rummen. Som helhet en skön atmosfär på hotellet.

It is my third time in this hotel. It is a cozy and nice hotel in general. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is located on a silent street. Do not stay in the rooms located in the basement floor. They are next to kitchen and too noisy.

Vi var på 1:a besök i Istanbul med några vänner. Stan är stökig, mysig,mycket folk, bilar men nära till allt. Vi bodde vid Galata Tower och vi stördes inte av trafiken.

Hotel pequeño pero cómo y bien ubicado

Estuvimos 6 noches, el personal siempre fue muy amable frente a nuestras inquietudes y requerimientos. Esta en una calle donde no hay nada, pero a 200 mts, esta la Torre de Galata, con lindas tiendas y bares. Siguiendo por delatante de la torre se llega a la calle IstiKal Caddesi, de Beyoglu, que es una peatonal llena de negocios.

Good one if you prefer themed hotel

an pleasant staying experience overall. The bed and design are the highlights. The location is perfect, but part of neighborhood is a bit dirty to be honest. There are few broken things in the room which is a bit shame.

Great location, staff and room

Great deal flor hotel prize, specially if you get the rooms with sea view. Staff is really helpful, friendly and kind. Front desk you will find Burchinand Adrian who are very friendly, and will give you always wise advise for the city and the country itself. Location is perfect, not in the old part of the city but in a pretty neighborhood close to every major attraction in the city. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this hotel and I will come back again.

Great location, friendly staff - will come back

We stayed at by Murat for 2 nights. The hotel staff is super friendly and nice. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. It's a 2 minute walk from the galata tower and very close to a lot of bars, restaurants and boutique shops. Istiklal street is a couple of minutes away too. The location is fabulous and I will stay in the same neighbourhood on my next trip to Istanbul The area has a steep slope so I don't recommend walking to the hotel with multiple bags from a metro station.

Ein komfortables Hotel mit einer wunderschönen Frühstücksterrasse. Allein die Aussicht beim Frühstück lohnt den Besuch dieses Hotels. Das Hotel liegt an einer sehr steilen Seitenstraße.

Bra läge, fräscht & fin utsikt från rooftopterrass

Mycket bra hotell på bra läge. Bor man här behöver man inte köa till Galatatornet för vacker utsikt. Hotellets fantastiska rooftop-terrass där frukosten (turkisk yoghurt, müsli, kokt ägg, bröd, pålägg, grönsaker, juice, kaffe, te) serverades var fantastisk! Man fick nästan 380 graders utsikt över Istanbul och såg hela gamla staden (vi räknade 9 moskéer bla, Süleman, Blå moskén, Ayasofya, Nya moskén). Frukost på terrass vid fint väder. Vi anlände ca 23:30, vilket inte var något problem. Receptionen var bemannad. De flesta talade bra engelska och vi fick den hjälp vi behövde ex boka taxi, skriva ut boardingpass. Hotellet har WiFi, funkade bra. Vårt rum var rent, fräscht och lagom stort med ett rymligt, nytt, rent och fräscht badrum. Från vårt rum på våning 3 hade vi fin utsikt mot Süleman moskén. Vårt fönster vette inte ut mot någon gata så det var tyst och lugnt i detta annars ganska livfulla område. För att komma till Hotellet måste man nerför en brant backe som kvällstid inte var upplyst. Det utgjorde inga problem för oss men äldre eller personer med funktionsnedsättning kan kanske uppleva det som svårframkomligt. Som generell regel kan man säga att om man klarar av Istanbul med dess backar och ofta dåliga trottoarer så är det inga problem med framkomlighet till Hotellet. Vill man ha närhet till den gamla delen men även kunna göra något efter klockan 10 på kvällen då stora delar av gamla staden är öde, så är läget perfekt! Vi var jättenöjda och kan tänka oss att återvända.

Top Lage mit schöner Dachterasse

wunderschöne Lage mit herrlichem Blick von der Dachterasse. Leider sind die Zimmer im obersten Stock sehr hellhörig, wenn auf der Terasse ab 6:00 Stühle und Tische gerückt werden.Der Transfer Service vom Flughafen war problembehaftet.

peccato perdersi sui particolari

Hotel si trova in una posizione perfetta. Chiunque dovesse andare ad Istanbul cosiglierei di soggiornare in zona Torre di Galata. È perfettamente centrale rispetto la zona piu commerciale di iski tane e quella oiu turistica di Sultanamet. Purtroppo la via in cui si trova non è delle piu eleganti: cami randagi e persone non rassicuranti sostano li. Cio nonostante sono entrambi innoqui. L'hotel si presenta molto bene, il personale è stato alle volte molto gentile altre menefreghista (in base al turno). La colazione sulla terrazza eccellente per la vista, buona per la qualità e varietà dei prodotti. La camera era confortevole ma male organizzata per 3, infatti abbiamo preferito spostare un po i letti ed elimare di mezzo alcuni tavolini/mobilio inutile. Pulizia e bagno impeccabile. Per essere un 4 stelle ho disprezzato la presenza fissa del carrello con la biancheria sporca proprio davanti la porta della camera. Peccato, un hotel con tante potenzialità ma che si perde in un bicchiere d'acqua. Lo consiglio comunque per il rapporto qualità/prezzo: 200 euro camera tripla per 3 giorni.

Mycket bra, trevlig personal, fantastisk frukost på takterrassen, med utsikt över Istanbul. Bra läge vid Galatatornet. Gångavstånd till de flesta sevärdheterna. Låg ändå lugnt på en liten "bakgata". Vi kan verkligen rekommendera By Murat hotell.
