As the saying goes: location, location, location. If you want the full Mexico City experience, this is one of the best places to stay. The hotel is right in the heart of the Historic Center, within walking distance of major landmarks such as Palacio de Bellas Artes and Palacio Nacional. A word of advice: use Uber rather than local taxis. When I asked the front desk to arrange a taxi to Palacio de Bellas Artes, the front desk quoted a fixed price of 400 pesos before even calling the driver. Very suspicious and unfortunately, it reflects badly on the staff who were very attentive. In contrast, every Uber ride we took to the same destination cost between 70–90 pesos, depending on the time of day. That discrepancy is perhaps one reason the property doesn’t quite reach five-star standards. That said, the location and the building itself more than make up for it. The architecture is truly one of a kind, staying here feels like being part of Mexico City’s living history.

The hotel is beautiful, but honestly the location isn’t great. Amenities are rather old and the gym isn’t well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The bedroom itself was a good size but the tiny bathroom is a bit tough for 2 people to use.

Beautiful hotel with great interior design and good central location. Some of the staff could be a bit nicer though. Very disappointing with their policy to run private events in the roof terrace & bar while preventing paying guests to have access to it and enjoy it.

We always stay here when we travel to CDMX. We love the breakfast included and the 24 hour cafe. We have requested sandwiches and chips at 5 am to take on long day excursions. The staff is helpful with directions and suggestions for visiting tourists areas.
