"Don't let the streetside appearance of the property sway your decision to visit. Once they complete all the landscaping and sign appearance certainly will enhance the entrance. Staff always asked us if we needed anything during our stay. Views from our 2nd floor river view room and balcony were fabulous. Complete with Binoculars in the rooms to watch ship movements along the columbia river. Although the beds were low and a bit uncomfortable the pillows and overall room and property cleanliness was excellent. We will stop in again if we travel thru Astoria."

"pretty obscure location and you definitely need to pay for parking - there is no street parking any time of day or night. Food in bistro was good for what it is - doesn't feel like a "restaurant" Reception staff who checked us in was in no way friendly - other staff were a huge contrast to him fortunately. I felt badly for food service folks covering in an obviously low staffing situation. Room was top quality and all we expected."
