Close to the station and the staff are very kind and flexible!
Wonderful location close to train, shopping centre's, restaurants and tourist sites. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were wonderful and always happy to assist if needed. Would happily stay here again.
I stayed in a non-themed Queen room, and had a very enjoyable experience, with clean facilities friendly staff and ideal location for sight seeing. We also greatly appreciated the foot massager especially after the long days of sight seeing. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel in the future and would recommend to others staying in Kyoto for the first time.
Very convenient for Gion district. Free bike hire for 4 hours and friendly staff. I found the rooms smelt strange - I initially thought it was smoke but I moved rooms and it had exactly the same smell
Hotel employee Lee was exceptionally friendly and helpful. He took his time to help explain local events, arrange taxi service, and reserve airport transportation. Lee made the stay flawless.
Very noisy due to poorly fitting window resulting in traffic noise and local road works. Good food options for breakfast but dining room like a classroom. Staff pleasant.
If you're looking for a central place in Kyoto...we want to highly recommend this place.
Staff are so nice, friendly and helpful!!!
Rooms are spacious and clean! There's even a foot massager in the room. If you don't have your room clean for the day, they leave you a tag which you can bring down to the front desk in exchange for a bottled water.
The location is PERFECT!! It is 1 minute walk from the Sanjo Keihan train station. There are 2 convenient stores within 3 minutes of walking. The area for sightseeing (like the Pagoda) is only 15 minutes walk.
There are 2 washing machines/dryers downstairs.
Perfect location for using public transportation. The staff was very friendly and accommodating our whole stay. Definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Kyoto
The staff was polite and helpful. The room was clean but very small even for Japanese standard. I'm not tall but I had to bow to shower, otherwise the water was not running over my head. The breakfast was mostly Japanese: it was tasty but the international options were limited (one type of pastry, bread and jam, yogurt).
The location was very good, not far from Gion and the temples, also not far from metro and train and the shopping streets just on the other side of the river. The breakfast was very average, the room on the small side, but the staff friendly and helpful.
Another great stay at the Kyoto Hana Hotel. Tried this place out last year and was so happy with the service, vibe and location that we booked again this year.
Their flower themed room is a great choice. Bigger than the regular room and has a great balcony overlooking parts of the city. Very comfortable futon beds. Really nice touch was the kotatsu (heated table w blanket) since it was still cold (Went in March, 9deg in the day). Think they remove it for the warmer spring/summer months.
The sofa and ottoman could do with a refurbishment, the material is worn and slightly tattered.
I found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and professional. The room and bathroom were perhaps a little too small for me, but on the other hand I'm a tall guy!
