Hampton Inn Hilton Head

"We loved everything about this place and hope to go back again. Even though we only live an hour away in Georgia we went to Hilton Head for a getaway. The hotel is very clean and the staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast offered had everything we needed to start our day. I am in the Top 10% of Google hotel reviewers and this place is one of my favorite. The only negative is that the hallways are FREEZING and that the bathtub is VERY slippery. Please ask for a bath mat for your tub. Matthew Brown the Housekeeping Manager was most excellent in making sure the guests had a bath mat for the bathtub/shower. Even though I was not welcomed as a Hilton Honors customer we really enjoyed the hotel and our stay!"

"Nice resort on a beautiful island. Great location for golfers. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and most of our late-September visit was too cold to swim in the ocean. The heated pool may have been heated technically, but was still pretty cool to swim in. That left everyone trying to fit in the hot tub, which became a bit crowded. The property is in very good condition generally, although the elevator closest to the pool didn't work for us a couple of times and we had to take the stairs. As with most resorts, you are nickel and dimed for a lot... valet parking, self parking, daily resort fees, charges for chairs near the pool and cabanas. It seems like when you are paying these per-night fees that some of that would be included, especially in the off season. We might come back, but if so it would certainly be in the summer when we could swim in the ocean."

"Really nice place to stay if you have children or just want to get away to HHI and not spend too much. Very clean. The only thing is when checking in we just don’t like to be bothered with sitting through a 30 minute sales pitch (which we did not do) through the concierge. She was really nice but people just want to chill when they get to their destination. Not a big deal but something we weren’t expecting. Really nice place though and we would go back. Rooms are a nice size and have everything you need. It’s in a really great spot. Walking distance to the beach, shops and nightlife."

"We enjoyed our vacation at Sonesta. The staff was super nice and helpful, the place is clean and spacious. Out of the three nights they semi-cleaned our room once, but they did replenish the towels daily. I loved the location, pool, beach and trails. My toddler raves about the turtle feeding & the smores. I actually liked that there was a 18+ only pool, is nice to know if kids get annoying or loud the adults that just want peace can go there. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the food, not great and super overpriced. We ordered to go be there was still a big service fee, we ended up door dashing from outside and that was considerably cheaper and better."

"First time I stayed at a non contact hotel. One drawback is if you're early, you can't have an early check-in. Your room and pascode are sent at 4:pm. It's an older property, but the room was comaftable enough for what I needed. Good location, for stores and restaurants. Free parking, an elevator are welcome ameneties. I would consider returning to the Hotel Carolina."
