I booked a double room for my stay, when I got to the room I was surprised to see that it was that small I would have questioned whether it was a single never mind a double room, the room was the width of the bed, there was not access to the side of the bed and no bedside table/shelf, I had to CRAWL up the bed to get to sleep. There was no wardrobe to hang clothes in just 3 hangers on the wall. not even a chair in the room. This maybe because it was in the basement of the building (no windows for ventilation) other rooms in the hotel may well have been more comfortable.

While the staff were very good, the issue I had was with the cost of the room compared to the size and value. I paid a lot of money for a twin room and it was tiny. There was no fridge and the cost per night was exorbitant. Can do much better in the areas as there are a lot of hotels nearby. The room was in the basement and also had noise from the Underground.

Even though the hotel don’t have catering facilities the cafe 2 minutes walk away is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Other restaurants in walking distance were really good food lunch times and evenings. Recommend this hotel very highly.

Amazing staff and very clean. The room itself was a bit small but very cozy and had all you needed. The only little thing I would change is the blinds, since we had a nice view of the adjacent neighborhood, but couldn't raise them to see it. Also they gave you a discount at the Roasting coffee shop nearby which was absolutelyl delicious for breakfast!

The room was suitable for a one night stay, with great proximity to London Victoria. Some parts of the room were a bit worse for wear, for example the net curtains were torn. We also found some previous users rubbish down the side of the bed, which was missed during the cleaning. Also just a shame of the scaffolding right outside the window (front facing). Otherwise does the job. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Didn't feel like budget accomodation at al! Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful including carrying bags due to lack of lift. Fully functioning air conditioning and power showers. Probably one of the best hotel stays I've ever had. Very close to victoria and restaurants and bars

Honestly one of my worst hotel experiences. The kids at the front desk are really nice and that’s the only plus. Phones don’t work, Internet didn’t work, barely space to turn around in the room. There was an issue where we cancelled the first two nights due to illness. When we arrived they said they couldn’t refund anything because they kept the room available for us.. yet we were told the room wasn’t ready and that we should come back. Email to the manager went unanswered. I’d avoid.

The room was compact, as advertised. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel was close to bars, restaurants, shops etc. Walking distance to virtually anything you could want. The staff were fantastic. I would recommend the hotel to my closest friends just based on them. Nothing was too much trouble, so friendly and genuinely lovely, kind and thoughtful.

I loved my stay at the Mornington Hotel! I was originally booked at a different hotel in the area but switched to the Mornington after realizing that my original booking didn’t have AC. I am SO glad I made the change! It’s been HOT here in London. The Mornington had incredibly strong AC (I even had to turn it down at one point). My room was very small in the basement, no windows, but honestly I didn’t care. The bed was super comfortable, the room was clean, and the neighborhood is lovely! Very quiet as well. There were two young women who worked at the counter while I was there and they were both lovely, very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and wish I would have booked it for my entire stay instead of just for one night!

The room was small (but expected for London). The hotel does not have a lift/elevator, so if you are not on the main level, you will need to be able to do stairs and carry your luggage up and down stairs as well. Not every room had the same amenities (our friends' room did not have a safe) and some things didn't work as well (shower door kept coming off the track and not closing all the way, skylight blinds were closed halfway and the cords to control it were broken). The staff was friendly and did their best to help where they could, even coming to pick up our take-away trash from us so our room didn't smell of onions all night. If you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your hotel room except to sleep, it was quite sufficient.

First, we arrived at the Victoria to check in at 5pm to be told there was a ‘maintenance issue’ and we had to move to their sister hotel on another street. No offer of a refund was mentioned, and we’d received no prior warning that this was happening before we arrived at the hotel. The Mornington Victor was where we ended up, and it had a pleasant, modern, well-equipped and clean room but there was no sound proofing, a lot of aggressive shouting and threatening language from other guests. Doors slamming for around 2 hours in the adjacent room. Reception would have been close enough to hear it and didn’t do anything about the behaviour. Initially we were booked to stay 2 nights, but we didn’t feel safe to stay at the hotel for a second night. They refused to issue a partial refund for the second night despite having moved us from the hotel we initially booked.
