When our driver couldn't make it to the Casa to take us to Santa Marta airport for our flight to Bogota, Marisela took us both in our car and drove the hour and 15 minutes to drop us off at the airport. "The property was flooded by the river in December. They are remaking all the gardens. The front desk people are terrible. They dont have information and are the opposite of a client service. The food is wonderful. It is an eco-hotel without running water in the toilets but that is part of the philosophy. Tryed to pay with the credit card online so I did not have to pay a surcharge, but the front desk had not updated the system so it could not be done and had to pay a surcharge."

"Fantastic location just near the main restaurant street, with heaps of food options nearby and even within the hotel itself. The staff were so friendly and fantastic. The food at the restaurant, including breakfast, was delicious! The rooms are spacious and clean, great aircon and fan needed for the hot days. We went for a swim for a river next to the hotel and it was so clean and refreshing, would absolutely recommend staying here!"

"We had a lovely, short stay at Finca Barlovento. The property is beautiful, the atmosphere is restful and the overall feeling is very private and low-key, with a high level of service. The staff was very conscientious and accommodating. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Food offerings are good, though somewhat limited, but we were only there for a couple of days so this was not really an issue. We used the pool and spa services - the pools are small but refreshing and massage was wonderful! I recommend this location to people who want to be in a natural setting. Since it is adjacent to Tayrona National Park, it's an extremely comfortable place to land after longer beach hikes in the park."

"I am so glad I chose this hotel; it was the perfect home base for my trip. I spent half my time exploring the north and the other half in the city center, and this location made navigating both areas seamless. The front desk team was incredible, taking all the stress out of my logistics by coordinating my transportation perfectly. Beyond the convenience, the hotel itself is beautiful. My room was spacious and very comfortable, and the food at the on-site restaurant—both for breakfast and dinner—was fantastic. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!"
