Very pleasant staff & good meals. Bedrooms basic but clean & tidy. Disappointing location, poor WiFi on 1st floor & non-existent on 2nd floor. Plunge pool on roof not in use during our stay. Website pics unfairly flattering.
The Riad itself is quite nice. The hospitality and the breakfast were great. There was no tv and no trash bins. The location is in the Medina, quite close to the center, and the civilization there in not advanced as in the west, so the access and the surroundings are typical, I'd say.

This place and these people are wonderful! It was a beautiful getaway and haven for when Marrakech was too much. The dinner is delicious traditional food and the view from the roof is spectacular. I want to go back.
Note, definitely have them book transportation for you to and from the airport/train station. If you don't the taxis will try to take all of your money. I had my taxi drop me off 10 min from the Riad and pass me on to another random street guy who asked for a terrible amount of money. None of that is worth it. They are extremely helpful here and can book transportation easily!
Had a wonderful time at Riad Aya. My friend and I used Riad Aya as a base while traveling around Morocco, therefore we returned 3 times and got to try 3 different rooms. Each room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly, and always willing to help you and/or answer your questions. The roof is an amazing oasis, especially after a day of exploring the city. Loved my time in Morocco and at this Riad. Great affordable treasure! Merci! Shukran! Thank you!
Convenient hotel, quiet and helpful staff. This hotel is tucked away from Main Street which helps with the traffic noise and the staff were there to assist us in anything that we needed.
The manager Sophia and staff were very welcoming and helpful. The Riad has been beautifully restored and our room on the 1st floor was nicely decorated in a rustic Moroccan style, there is also a roof terrace with views of the Atlas mountains and a v. small plunge pool. We had the 3 course set menu on the 1st night which was all good and cost around 600 MAD including a bottle of house red. The approach to the Riad entrance is via a dimly lit passageway which could be off-putting especially if arriving in the dark however the Riad is centrally located with Jemna El Fna and the Souks about a 20 minute walk away. Overall a very enjoyable stay and good VFM
We arrived at the RIad after a train trip from Casablanca. Sofia greeted us, gave us a lovely cold drink and a bite to eat as we hadn't had anything since breakfast. She provided a good briefing and map of Marrakech with lots of tips.
The RIad is beautiful and after the madness of the medina a welcome relief - an oasis.
We stayed 2 nights and then came back for a further 5. We had several meals, all really good. If we ever go back to Marrakech we would definitely stay there as we feel as though Sofia and Simo are now our friends
