"An amazing spotlessly clean room. An Amazing delicious breakfast. Staff and Chefs were wonderful. My husband got up to pick some fresh basil from the plant just outside on patio ( Was so hot we ate inside ) To add to his fresh eggs and tomatoes ! We called Giuseppe when we arrived in Matera and as stated he was there in 10 mns to pick us up. Linens, bedding and shower facilities excellent, ultra modern! If you have any mobility issues all Matera might be difficult to maneuver around but if...

"We stayed at the Maseria Santa Lucia for several days. Our room was entirely built with tuff stone and very stylishly furnished. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The reception gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was very plentiful, coffee variations were served according to our wishes, and the selection of cakes was fantastic. The Maseria has a pool and a spa. Unfortunately, the spa can only be used privately for 1.5 hours for a fee of €100."

"Wonderful staff, check in was a breeze, beautiful location and the amenities were great. Traveling as a person of color in similar (less touristy areas) can be scaring sometimes but everyone on staff was so great. I highly recommend the restaurant and the pool amenities."

"Cave B&B. Right at the heart of old Matera city. Driving there is not possible, so either have a small luggage or be ready to drag the luggage through medieval streets. There’s a Maison or Casa Cava that is close to drive by to load and unload the luggages, but still hard to drive to. Just a heads up. The host speaks little English. Breakfast has a great selection and very fresh."
