“We used Snowdonia Mountain Lodge as an overnight rest stop near to a family gathering. We were all really happy with the accommodation, and it was better than we would have expected for the price we paid. Everything was clean, warm, dry and comfortable. Also, there is a small fridge-freezer in the family apartment, which we didn't realise, but could be really useful to know for someone reading this review.
As it stands, we plan to stay here again for the next family gathering, so book it now,...

“Steve and Jeanette were the perfect hosts, even loaning me walking sticks to climb Ir Wyddfa (Mt Snowdon). I was there as a solo traveler and appreciated the very safe and welcoming environment. Everything was perfect: spotless, comfortable room, great shower, delicious Welsh breakfast, easy walk to town, available books and maps, teapot and biscuits in the room, and great WIFI. “Stayed in the pet friendly Cabanas, modern with everything you need for a weekend stay.
The restaurant is excellent however do book in advance as it gets very busy and check your bill to ensure the deposit has been removed. We didn’t realise until the day after , it was rectified when we highlighted the mistake.

The only thing missing would be a little on site shop selling essentials, news and mags, ice cream etc. You...
“Richard is very much the 'Host with the Most'. Very chatty and friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. He went above and beyond for us...Carrying our cases up to the top floor...And down again when we left. Plus he does a cracking packed lunch.
Our room was more than adequate, comfy and clean.
The only gripe from our point of view is that we'd prefer proper cups and spoons...”
“We spent a delightful six nights at Victoria House. The owner, Jan, was a gracious and very helpful host. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. No breakfast was served, but there are many excellent breakfast spots within a five minute walk. And the room came with ground coffee and a French press coffee maker, plus excellent snacks. The location within the old city walls and adjacent to the sea is perfect. ”
