Had ocean view room on third floor. Would like to have had more device plug-ins, but other than that, room was nice, view great, was able to walk to Old Fishermans Wharf and the Aquarium. Good location, off the main street with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Rooms were clean. Shower wasn’t great and parking was limited but there is extra across the street. WiFi worked pretty well. Staff was very friendly. It’s a little noisy but a good location, about a 10 minute walk to downtown. There is a pizza place, liquor store, and a Dennys a short walk away. I would stay here again.

Good location. Most staff was friendly and helpful; but the stopper in the bathtub didn't work and when I reported it, nothing was done about it. Also, tubs did not have non-slip mats; and I saw many elderly guests staying there. Free coffee and parking are great.

For the price, the quality of the room is great. These old hotels have very thin walls so there is some neighbor noise if ya know what I mean. Great location and walking to everything in Monterey. 5 stars means I would stay there again and I would so 5 stars.

The property is split. We end up in a roon across from the office.We requested a first floor room because my wife just had back surgery. we got a "first floor" room but had to take a elevator to get to it. Otherwise, the room was a good value. ,

I have been staying here for several years. It is an affordable stay in Monterey. Very clean and in walking distance to Monterey downtown. The sraff is very friendly. I have witnessed many improvements over the years in the rooms and the staff.

The Day Inn Monterey Downtown is our favorite area hotel on a budget. The rooms are clean and spacious, parking is plentiful (if a bit tight) and the location is perfect - walking distance from Alvarado St and the wharf.

Nice clean room, had a good stay. Paid extra for high speed internet but their system was changing over so didn't get it, only 8mbps which made it hard to work. Tight bathroom space but fine. Nice and new aircon/heater. Staff friendly. Fridge didn't seem to get too cold.
