We stayed in two rooms. One room had no air conditioning on the first night, so we were moved. The following night, both rooms had no air conditioning. The hotel provided fans, but with the heat this was uncomfortable, especially for our children. One of the replacement rooms also had a strong sewage odor in the bathroom. Some of their staff made it as though asking for assistance was an inconvenience. We hope these issues are addressed for future guests. On the bright side, its location is great. The restaurant downstairs has wonderful staff and great food. The hotels minibar is free.

The staff was pleasant and very helpful. The hotel was clean. The breakfast buffet had many good choices. The location is close to the train station and to Merianplatz. However it is not the best neighborhood. Many homeless, trash in the street, and strip clubs around the corner. Avoid if you have children. Otherwise 4/5 stars.

Conveniently located near the main train station in Munich, it offers a good price/value alternative. The staff is friendly and the breakfast buffet is very complete. One of the two rooms that we reserved, had a faulty AC and when my kids reported it to the front desk, the person in charge just told them to close the curtains, but wouldn’t try to fix the issue.

The hotel is a very good four-star property. It was clean, comfortable, and everything else about our stay was great. The only downside was that the price was quite high. I’m not sure whether this was because there was a trade show or exhibition in Munich during those days. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.

If it's cooler than 22 degrees C outside they won't turn the AC on in the rooms, under the excuse of being a "green" hotel. If you have more that 1 people in that room it's too warm!!. Unless it's snowing outside, keep the AC ON!

First trip to Munich. We tried to book a hotel close enough to park and walk to shops, tourist sites, and restaurants. The hotel lobby and restaurant were pretty and clean, but the room was tight and old-looking. The hotel was also in a rough part of town - gambling and strip clubs on the same block. It is also a neighbor to several hostels. We planned to have a nicer hotel, so this was disappointing. We definitely didn't venture out at night. We were a 15- 20-minute walk to the old town area. The hotel restaurant had good dinner food and an amazing breakfast. The staff was helpful and kind. We probably would not stay here again bc of the location.

We didn't find anything to worry about in the locale. It's near the main station. The convenience outweighs any concerns about busyness and the odd beggar. Reception dealt with a slight room problem very efficiently, and breakfast was excellent. Our only niggles were soft beds, and poor WI fi, otherwise an excellent stay.

Mercure Muenchen City Center Hotel was truly a wonderful discovery during our latest trip to Munich. Its convenient location near the train station and within walking distance of Marienplatz made getting around the city very easy. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were outstanding -fast, efficient, and always kind and friendly-. A very special mention goes to Ilgar at the front desk, who checked us in. He was extremely professional, welcoming, and pleasant, making us feel comfortable from the very beginning. His kindness and professionalism truly made a great first impression. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very comfortable, and the bathrooms are also large, modern, and well designed. Everything felt spotless, very well maintained, and thoughtfully cared for. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste, including many healthy choices. It was so good that, for someone like me who is definitely not a morning person, it actually made waking up early for breakfast enjoyable! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Munich.

Personal im Hotel ist sehr, sehr unterschiedlich. Einige hervorragend, andere schlimm. Einige top motiviert, andere hatten offensichtlich keine Lust zu arbeiten. Einige wundervoll freundlich, andere mürrisch und nicht nett. Schade, dass der gute Eindruck unter dem schlechten Eindruck leidet.
