Whitney Peak Hotel Reno, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"From the moment we arrived at Whitney Peak, we knew we’d picked the right place. The location couldn’t be better — right next to the Reno Arch and within walking distance of so many great restaurants, coffee shops, and entertainment.
The staff is the standout here: warm, genuinely friendly, and eager to help with anything from dinner recommendations to arranging transportation. It never felt like “just another hotel stay” — it felt personal.
Our room was spotless, modern, and spacious, with huge windows framing the city and mountains. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the linens felt luxurious, and the little touches — like locally inspired decor and high-quality toiletries — made it feel special.
One of the biggest perks is that it’s smoke-free, which is a rare and welcome change in downtown Reno. You can actually breathe fresh air as you walk through the lobby. The vibe is relaxed but still upscale, and there’s a cool, boutique feel throughout.
The climbing wall outside is an absolute showstopper — even if you’re not climbing it, it gives the place a sense of energy and adventure. The fitness center is excellent, and the on-site restaurant serves a fantastic breakfast and creative cocktails in the evening.
All in all, Whitney Peak delivers the perfect balance of comfort, style, and location. Whether you’re in Reno for business, a getaway, or just passing through, this hotel is a breath of fresh air. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the city."
"Loved all the options at Cafe Central at The Silver Legacy. I had the chicken teriyaki bowl. It was so tasty! I also worked out at the gym which was broken down into two rooms-one for machines and the other was the weight room. Great equipment to work out with! Loved the fact that you can walk from The Silver Legacy to El Dorado & Circus Circus to see all the restaurants, shops & casinos, etc.! We just got as far as The El Dorado, but loved all the options to eat."
"We liked our stay except the upstairs tenant knocking on the floor our first as if we were loud and we weren’t! But other than that it was great! God bless!"
