The shuttle to pick us up was an hour in a half late and whenever we would call to see where they were the guy we spoke with was unbelievably rude. Once we finally got picked up it took another 45 minutes to get back to the hotel because we had to pick up 3 more guests which we were not aware of having to do. I could not believe how bad the customer service was with the shuttle service. Once we got to the hotel there was one person working at the desk and it took another 30 minutes to get checked in and the guy at the desk was not very nice as well. The rooms were disgusting and I did not enjoy my stay. We would never plan to stay there again.
Hotel is overprice, room was really hot and wall A/C unit took forever to cool it down. There was not towels in the bathroom and I had to go down to check in desk get them. The elevator's door closest extremely quicker than other elevators I have seen. If possible, I would like a refund.
The hotel offers free shuttle service from La Guardia to the hotel. This is the only plus. Continental breakfast was headache as they only have one toaster oven and you have to wait in one long line to use it. The beds in the room are placed in such a way that when you open the door ut doesn't open all the way. The bed blocks it.
Told us it was going to be renovated - it needs it
Couldn't find my reservation and had to wait for them to verify it. Floor carpets appeared dirty. Cook was too preoccupied with visiting with another man to take care of our order and then forgot that we had paid him already.
Well, since we pretty much had no choice due to flight cancellations..I give them a "high 5" and a thank you for the prompt shuttle from and to the airport. The price per night was rediculousley overpriced due to neighborhood and the all over old as dirt decor (carpet, wall paper, elevator, rooms in general. Sorry to say but it appeared to be a pay by the hour hotel. Wish I could post pics of the hallway and room. I swear I saw two twins at the end of the hall and a small boy riding a tricycle saying redrum redrum. Our room had a big hole in the closet door that appeared to be made with an ax- no kidding..I expected at any moment someone would bust open the door and say "here's Johnny"! I will give 5 stars to the guy that fixed us something to eat though in their so called restaurant; we were tired, stressed and hungry from our cancelled flights; it was a pretty good meal. The man and woman at tge service desk were also very nice...don't want to take this review out on them, it's notvtgeir fault tge place shoukd get negative stars.
So, I travel a lot, usually 10-12 days per month during my busy season, and I stay at a lot of airport transit hotels. I know they're heavily trafficked, and can be a bit run down because of it. The Landing, however, easily made my top ten list of the most dreadful hotels I've ever stayed at. Here's a quick rundown:
1) Sheets were not changed before my stay. I know that because of the gig hairball I found in my bed.
2) My room, don't ask me why, smelled very strongly of urine.
3) Bar was closed, but a bunch of locals sat around the bar drinking and blasting tunes on high (my room happened to be right next to the bar
4) Took me 40 minutes to check in, because the 3 people checking in in front of me had their reservations lost by the hotel.
5) No Hot water. A cold shower at a hotel is not a good thing.
Oh, and the room was $145.00 a night. I've stayed at cleaner Travellodges for $40 a night.
So, like my title says- don't do it. Just don't do it. Some businesses just don't get it. This is one of them.
this people charge me 3 time for one night that I spent there.

Close to Airport, but.....
I can see there's going to be a lot of renos in the future due to age of facility. Location great being next to airport and an express bus through the airport to Subway line at Astoria, or staying on till you hit the Harlem area and another subway stop. Noise from airport not a factor. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Cost effective but prepare for an hour travel to get to the heart of Manhattan.
Room was dirty roaches in the bathroom roaches in the bedrooms. frigerator wasn't working I had to fix the air conditioner for it to work..............horrible will never stay there again....
Was just for overnight before catching connection to Italy. Rooms are small. Bar and restaurant were not open or out of most items. Under new ownership and look like they were upgrading the interior. Easy to catch public transportation into the city. Staff was very helpful and let us store our basis for several hours after we checked out.
This hotel was horrible. Didn't not feel secure outside of the premises, the check in staff was TERRIBLE! Took me 7 calls to get ahold of someone. Arranged for pick up at airport, they forgot me. No bar, 2 things on menu -both unhealthy (however the man attending the food was very polite and considerate). The hallways smelled like smoke although my room did not. I was in non-smoking area. Would never stay there again and NEVER recommend it.
This is the ideal hotel when you need to be within 5 minutes of LGA. There is a shuttle to the airport on the hour and half hour 24/7.
The room was OK, but what is urgently needed is a thourough wet cleaning (or replacement) of all carpets throughout the hotel. They are smelly and full of stains.
