This hostel is getting big credits for its location and the kind men wiring behind the desk which helped me out quite a lot. Other than that I wasn’t too happy with my stay because of a few things: 1. Small rooms are definitely SMALL. Too small. Barely a suitcase fits in, fyi. And no windows, the room gets f stuffy!!! 2. The kitchen isn’t really equipped. Half of the time the utensils were missing, hot water wasn’t working, sink was dirty and the overall kitchen was kinda whatever. 3. I had two bookings bc of unavailability of the bigger room I wanted to stay in (which happens so it’s fine) but apparently you can only stay 14 days at a time, which the system didn’t get right when I booked my 20 days at a time separately. So after 11 days, they told me “btw you have to leave in a few days” which was very short notice and hard to find another place that quickly. I asked them for an experienced and the guys told me to send a message to support, which I did. To this day I haven’t gotten an answer from them personally and the guy behind reception simply told me there’s nothing he can do. They refunded my money, but that also took them forever. 4. (Which I guess you deal with in a hostel) but since the ceiling is open, you hear absolutely every f thing. Doors slap, snoring, phones, etc. 5. I was there during extreme cold. Their heater wasn’t working and we had ni hit water for 4 days without any kind of reimbursement. Big negative. You get the picture now and can see for yourself.

I would have rated my stay as EXCELLENT if it weren't for some `acting out` of staff that I witnessed and overheard although was likely exacerbated by being a VERY busy weekend of guests. I LIKE the Nolita and your rules are considerate of everyone; staff included. If I contributed to the aforementioned, it was only to voice in spirit re: condition the women's restroom was left with toilets unflushed on the very busy checkout of Sunday morning that made some of the spaces unusable. "Pick up after yourselves people; clean up after yourselves...nobody likes a litter bug!" I believe I voiced as positivity overall, but to have said `in spirit` in the moment instead of going to the check-in desk and voicing directly to the staff person, wasn't entirely the clean-line that Nolita aspires to. I am sure that can be a frustration, but within the community of hosteling is usually transcended. Thank you for your kindnesses AND reminder that none of us are perfect. I look forward to a future stay.

Central location, nice bodega guys across the street. Only oddity is that the room pods all share a ceiling so you will hear everything. There is no talking allowed in the pods (or you are fined) And there is no heat - they will charge you extra for blankets.

Beautiful decor, nice private sleep pod, very peaceful. Only pain was the '24/7 reception' was unmanned so checking in took 20ms as I had to scan the QR code, upload my passport, search my emails, find a confirmation code as the Hotels.com reference didn't work, and join a video call against my will when I pressed to 'call receptionist' and it connected me to some random bloke working remote from goodness knows where! Call me old fashioned but a human being to handle the process in person would be more welcome and convenient.

the only thing that I didn't like is that there was no heat in the dorm areas and my room had a giant window. otherwise I would recommend if you are looking for something affordable in the area.

The stay is not worth the price. The building is comprised of three high ceiling loft floors (1 female only), subdivided into private cubicles. These cubicles do not have a ceiling. The cheaper main floor shares the same open air ceiling space as the common areas and is extremely loud. If you are not a heavy sleeper this is not the stay for you. Despite a ton of signage about quiet hours and fines for noise, this is not respected or enforced. The clientel has no regard for others staying at the hostel, and guests had loud phone and group conversations in the designated quiet areas well into the night (past 3am) during each night of my stay. There are 4 toilets for over 50 guests (this is just the shared gender floors, I do not know about the female only floor), and by early evening each night the toilets were trashed (one night the "private" bathroom was covered in vomit). Again, the hostel is not adequately staffed to deal with the disrespectul and untidy nature of the clientel. The cubicle is fine, however the matress had a large sink in the middle that was very uncomfortable (even after I flipped it over). Even for a hostel, the Nolita Express is substandard, especially for the price. Its only saving grace is its EXCELLENT location. I would not recommend this stay unless it's your last option.

The stay here was nice. I appreciated the only female floor. Although I prefer not to share a bathroom, it wasn't bad. Just take lysol for your sanity. Everyone was nice. My only hang up is the no elevator. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. Thank you kindly.

It was terrible, the worst I have ever experienced. My friend saw this hostel for overnight stay as it was snowing that night and our plans that will be out all night didn’t happen so I booked this hostel and it was the worst..the place was scary, room looked like a tiny closet with a tiny bed. I can’t even fit my luggage to open on the floor. The noise was terrible, doors banging and people going up the stairs doesn’t care It was 3:30am I can’t still sleep because of intermittent noise and the banging when they closed or opened the doors, gave me a headache. If you intend to sleep over the night it’s not gonna happen.. i do kot recommend this place at all. It was a nightmare to stay here .
