"There was nothing wrong with the hotel; the room was fantastic, the property was kept up, parking was great. I did not have breakfast. I did order from room service and the food was fine. My biggest issue was that upon check-in I was told that I had to basically put down $100 deposit, that’s not the issue. The issue is that they did not tell me that if I ordered room service that I was going to be charged another hundred dollars. I ordered room service the first night the next day. I looked at my bank card to see how much money I had and there was another hundred dollars withdrawn from the Sheridan. When I called them, the gentleman that answered the phone said that because I ordered room service that is why that happened and that sometimes it happened and sometimes it doesn’t and sometimes it won’t take extra unless you’ve spent $80. It made absolutely no sense to me, but he said it was a computer thing and there was nothing that he could do about it. I think the assumption by them was that I already knew that this was going to happen. I am not a well traveled person. In fact this is the first time I have traveled on my own so I wasn’t aware of the incidental fee, which is fine. It took two days to get my money back. I just think that somewhere somebody needs to explain to people what’s going to happen with that incidental fee and that they’re gonna have more taken out if they use it. I will likely never stay at the Sheridan again just for this reason."

"A solid three star experience overall. I am tempted to give an extra star for the following reasons; the water pressure in the shower was excellent! The soap smelled wonderful! The air conditioning kept the room very pleasantly cool and the sheets were very clean and comfortable. Here is why I am not giving it an extra star; the air conditioning while working well was very loud. The rest of the hotel smelled kind of musty, but maybe that was just because it was summer in Ohio. The gym was fine and we did not use any of the food services or pool, so I cannot comment on those. The staff were all very pleasant."
