“Our departure time was before the breakfast service started, so we missed out on that. But they did offer a bag of snacks to get us going. The room was immaculate, but compact. It was a little tight for my husband, daughter and I. But it was very well laid out and an efficient use of the space and furniture. The shuttle service and proximity to the airport make this place make sense for a short term stay.”

“Booked a room with two queen beds but was given a room with a king bed. Was told there would be a $50 up charge to switch to a room with two beds. They did provide a roll-in cot at no charge. Front end staff and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. As was shuttle driver. The door to our unit show signs of a forced entry - with multiple gouges around the lock. Took an early flight out so cannot comment on the breakfast. Room was clean and tastefully decorated, as was the hotel.”

“The Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo was incredible and truly exceeded our expectations. The resort was beautifully maintained, with breathtaking scenery at every turn. We especially loved the pools, the seamless boat rides to the beach club, and the consistently friendly and attentive staff. One of the highlights was enjoying our morning coffee at sunrise while listening to the howler monkeys—an unforgettable and uniquely Costa Rican experience.”

“Our stay as very good. The staff was very friendly, and for the most part, very helpful. The bartenders were quick to serve you and most of the drinks were solid. There were a few instances where the servers didn't execute on requests--cooking the steak to customer preference, forgetting drink orders, delivering alcoholic beverages when virgin was requested. “The resort was over all nice only issue we had was the day we needed to leave to the airport to depart the transportation to bring us down took an hour to come get us and almost made us late for our flight. The resort is up a hill and no walking is permitted for safety. So you are forced to wait. We called the office several times to get picked up and the phone would just ring and then they would answer and tell us to wait outside so we waited outside of our room for one hour before being picked...

“The resort was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. Location was great. Food was delicious. Pools with swim-up bars were the best. We saw monkeys in the trees and iguanas swimming in the pool. We were there in April so no crowding. The balcony overlooking the pool was great. At check-in the desk clerk was very short and impolite. Ice machine for our section of the resort (across the street from the beach and restaurant) was out, making it inconvenient. The AC (mini split) only cooled the area...
