Daytona Grande Oceanfront Resort

"The hotel lobby is clean and the decor is nice. the rooms were clean but lacked decor. Both nights of our stay we could hear people yelling/laughing in the hallway past midnight. The valet people were very friendly for the most part, but when we left our valet person didn't offer to help us load our car, even after giving a tip on top of the $40/night fee. The pool area is nice and has plenty of seating. Most of the bar staff were pleasant but there was one last had an attitude and not helpful at all. The hotel only has one restaurant and apparently, they were a little understaffed as we wanted to eat dinner and there was a wait despite the restaurant only being half full. Overall, it is a clean, newer hotel to stay at on Daytona Beach."

"Nice hotel beautiful view . However the rooms used to be a better quality . The carpet wasn’t very clean , bathrooms were ok . The furniture was a bit old . Manager and front desk were above and beyond ."

"I simply cannot understand why the balcony overlooking the sea had no lighting; at night, I was forced to use my mobile phone flashlight to see. The ice machine was broken as well. It was truly terrible. However, the absolute worst part was that the parking lot was located across the street from the hotel. I had to drag my suitcase across the pedestrian crossing—that aspect was simply unacceptable."

"The only good thing I can say is , the beach access was great and the location on the strip is perfect . However , the room had mold growing on the walls , housekeeping didn’t come in during my stay I had to go ask for clean towels , trash bags etc - the floors were constantly wet , paint peeling off the walls , outdated , damaged furniture. Overall upkeep of the room was disappointing. I chose to give this place a try because my dad used to bring me here when I was a kid and I figured it would be exciting to relive old memories. But it wasn’t worth it ."

"The carpet felt sticky, the staff was very helpful after a problem with my room she was able to find me a nicer room with a partial ocean view and she always referred to me by name which was very kind. The pool situation was terrible, no one was monitoring the people drinking alcohol with children inside the pool, the adults drinking never left the pool to use a restroom while the drinking continued non stop. Children were not being monitored. There were not enough seats for the amount of people there. There was one gentleman walking around the pool area asking to see everyone's blue resort bands, all they did was point at their bags but he never saw the bands, the same gentleman walked over to the bar an alcoholic drink while working. He was an cranky looking older man with glasses and a mustache. There were many outside people at the pool with alcohol in the back of their pickup trucks. The pool restroom was a trailer in the parking lot with only two restrooms and smelled awful. The only great experience was the front desk woman and the restaurant, the food and drinks were great."
