"Four of us spent a night here and really enjoyed our brief stay in Sundsvall at the Knaust Hotel. The building has been lovingly restored and is clearly a local institution. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed drinks in the Bishops Arms bar and breakfast was excellent, served in a very imposing wood panelled room. "I didn’t like the self check-in system. And it was difficult to make out where to park the car as the whole of the hotel grounds where covered in deep snow. It was not possible to have dinner at the hotel, unless you are part of a conference or pre-book with minimum 15 persons. I don’t like the dinner plate system either, to re-heat a meal left by the chef to warm up. Apart from that the room was very basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.
