Excellent hotel, my only complaint would be the Peninsula food service.
We ate at the Shanghai Terrace our first night on site and honestly the food was only 2 stars. Specifically the appetizers were minuscule, and 90% pastry dough. Whatever filling was supposed to be inside all the dough largely wasn’t. The whole Peking duck was arranged haphazardly on the plate, the skin was not really crispy, and the taste experience was completely lackluster.

We had a delightful stay at the Oliver House. Tom and Alice are exceptional hosts. Be sure to enjoy dinner at Tippecanoe Restaurant next door... We met two nice couples at breakfast on Saturday morning and that night, after dinner, we sat in a swing on beautiful grounds... soon, fellow guests wandered in from dinner and 6 of us sat visiting in the garden. Before long, Tom cam out and asked if we needed anything... he noted that my husband and I were drinking white wine. He asked if others would...

Our stay was just great, and the facility was wonderful. However we had serious problems with the Hotels.com website. The website and booking process were deceptive and difficult. Our efforts to communicate with hotels.com did not get results and we were not able to find out why our credit card was charged more than advertised. We will go to the Brewery Lodge Hotel again but we won't be booking through Hotels.com. Final score 5+ for the Brewery Lodge Hotel 0 minus for Hotels.com.

It is a place to stop they had rooms casino was smoking and people were chain smoking all over so that was a bit too much at times.
Lots of reserved slots machines but no one playing so that was a thing. We had some light night food and it was just okay not bad. Automatic coffee at front desk made me a cup of scalding hot water instead of a coffee I just left rather than waiting in line at the front desk trying for a refund. Lastly the casino had a few NPC s just wondering around never playing...

We had a nice stay overall. We were surprised that there was no air conditioning on in the main areas of the hotel including the lobby and atrium where the restaurant was. We had to use room service for our meal because we didn’t want to eat and sweat at the same time. It was very much like a sauna with the temps outside near 90 degrees. The air conditioning worked perfectly in the actual hotel room. Just the other areas and hallways were very hot plus the elevators. The pool area was very warm...

This was the nicest stay I have had in years. Felt like a weekend with your best friend and they are an excellent host. Every amenity and design of the place is well intentioned and thought out. I will definitely be back!
