"We had a beach view room - truly one of the best views we’ve had at a hotel before. I stayed with my partner and our dog. It was a trip for my birthday - I put this on the booking and when we got to the room they had put out complementary drinks, snacks and a plate with ‘happy birthday’ written on it with chocolate with a few chocolate dipped strawberries and a red velvet cupcake - a lovely touch! Overall a lovely hotel. However two things to note - dogs aren't allowed in all rooms - I called ahead to check before booking and was told dogs are allowed in all rooms, so booked a sea view room. I called to see if we could have the same room for both the nights we stayed (we used vouchers so had to make two bookings) and then just checked that the dog was also on the booking. This is how I found out that dogs in fact are only allowed in certain rooms. The hotel did honour the booking after discussion (I told them I was told we could stay in any room). Secondly, it’s £15 per day for parking (and we were told this was a discounted price) which I think is extortionate - I think parking should be included in the room price. Would stay again, but a few things to be aware of for future bookings! "

"The reception staff were incredible, and the gentleman was very accommodating and helpful for my specific requirements. Breakfast was a £14 cost regardless of what you had and due to doing a race that morning I only ate minimal. Aside from this, I feel this was counteracted by the service I received and would recommend the hotel. The elevator in the hotel is tiny and I only just fit in there with my bag (5’7, small build) Parking is a pay as you go, private company and reg and payment need to be taken upon check in. However this was convenient for me as it was within the premises and on the doorstep of the hotel. Rooms were relatively clean and it was great for a 1 night stay "

"Clean rooms and staff were very helpful. The spa and bar were lovely. The only thing was that the level 8 sky bar was not open, even though I was told that it was open on a Friday, we were looking forward to it. Also although there was a slice of moldy bread found, the supervisor was very apologetic and removed the container which it was in. Our stay was very nice. "

"Wonderful Family Stay – Highly Recommend! We had a fantastic two-night family break at the Cumberland Hotel. We booked a family room with a king-size bed and bunk beds, and used Tesco Clubcard points which was a great bonus. We arrived just before check-in, easily found parking, and were warmly welcomed. Although our room wasn’t quite ready, we were invited to use the outdoor pool – a real treat on a sunny day! The pool was clean, well-staffed, and perfect for families. Huge thanks to Ali and Sophia, who looked after us for the whole trip with big smiles and great service. Our sea-view family room was spacious, spotless, and freshly decorated. The view from the balcony was stunning, and the in-room fridge was a brilliant touch for families. The bathroom was modern, though the shower pressure could be improved. Breakfast was another highlight. The buffet was hot, fresh, and constantly topped up. Franck, (age 82 was a gem) who served us, was an absolute star – even warming pancakes for our girls! The Friday night fireworks was amazing! A great bonus: guests can use facilities at other Oceana hotels. We enjoyed both outdoor pools and even used the indoor pool next door. Classic, friendly service like this is rare – every member of staff was lovely, a real credit to the team. We had a brilliant holiday and can’t wait to return! "
