This place is great for 1 night. We always stay here on the way to mammoth. The bathrooms were very run down this time, the toilets wouldn’t flush and the sink wouldn’t stop dripping. May have just been this one time. The Tipi itself is clean and cozy.

While the town is extremely small with not alot except a gas station, the room was stunning, very well equipped and there's a magnificent view of the Sierra Nevadas. Ideally placed for Death Valley, Sequoia National forest or, for those brave enough U2's Joshua Tree album cover photo (the tree died sadly but there is a plaque about 1/4 mile into the desert off CA 190). Staff were amazing, milkshakes to die for.

We had booked a two bedroom air-conditioned suite with a living area for a visit in July, it was hot and when we entered the suite, it was a furnace, the bedrooms had no airconditioning or fans, and there was an airconditioning unit for the living room, and it was off when we came into the unit. Needless to say, we switched it on and found out that it would it take ages to just cool down the living room, the bedrooms would be impossible to cool down, so we called it quits and checked out in about an hour from the time we came in, Never Again!!!

Generally, a funky and dated place. Was thankful to be there for 1 night. However, the staff was very nice which made the stay OK.

Very unique and very good stay. I got in late but had called earlier to notify the staff who made accommodations no questions asked. My only issue is I wish I stayed longer, it’s ok, just gives me a reason to come back!

It was funky. Oldish. But decent digs. They not only had fridge, microwave and coffee maker…but also proved real dishes, silverware and a large sink, dish soap, etc.

Interesting place. RV and tipi camping. Didn’t see a motel building. There was some obscure photo of a nice looking room online that did not match the final reservation result. Misleading. Limited electrical access in tipi. The reservation site leads you to think you have reserved a “room” in a motel, but small letters inform you of a tipi camping reservation. Caution on rusted nails in showers and water faucets not working. Be sure it is tipi camping you desire for that is what you will get. Stated a 2 day 48 hour cancellation window only for refund. But then a form kept on the down low is in the reservation mix that says you can cancel within the first 30 minutes and get money back. Front desk fellow friendly. If camping is what you want, then by all means this is a fair campground experience.

Don’t judge by the outside
Outstanding!! Best bed and pillows ever!! The little place was just redone and it is amazing. We ordered food there in the cafe as well and so good! They have beer and wine for the adults and a cute little patio to sit on to enjoy the nite away. There motto is “Tell a friend and stay again” we will most definitely!!

Old school RV park with a few motel rooms in trailers. Each room was clean, comfortable and had everything needed. Loved the porch looking up at the sierras in Queen Suite and One Bedroom. They even have teepees to stay in.
