The Oneida Community Mansion House makes for a unique and very interesting stay. This is not a typical hotel or Bed and Breakfast experience. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and very quiet. The grounds are lush and park-like. The Mansion provides a look into utopian life in a setting full of ambiance and history. To take full advantage of the site, plan for time to explore and learn from this part of the American story.
This is an opportunity not to be missed, extradonary experience to actually reside for a short period of time in what feels like yesterday , providing a rich history and exceptional memories.
We stayed here for a concert at turning stone and it was super cool! Clean, warm, and cozy. Super historic, has a little museum and you can tour the mansion. Highly recommend!!!
Fun to stay in a place with so much history, literally staying in a museum. Rooms are stunning but be aware that this is a historic mansion so there are some quirks. Bathrooms with 14-foot ceilings take a while to heat up!
Such a weird place. Huge. Hard to find your way around and at the end of the day pretty shabby. Not worth the price. We had smne above us (there are apparently people who live there full-time) who seemed like they were dropping bowling balls in the evening and again frist thing in the am. Def has a bit of a "shining" thing going for it. If you like a 'hotel' that seems nearly deserted then this is for you.
Stayed for one night- last minute to attend an event so we didnโt get to enjoy the property & tours. Old building, as expected- but well cared for. The room was spacious & quiet.
Property is comfortable and clean โ no big extras, but all the basics are there. What is exceptional, however, is the access to Oneida history, the enthusiasm of the staff, and the amazing grounds. Definitely feels like a special experience, not just a hotel stay!
Beautiful historic hotel with very interesting history. Rooms were clean and very spacious. Highly recommend if you want something unique and love amazing architecture.
We love the mansion house and try to stay there anytime weโre in town. The Foundation is doing an amazing job keeping up the history while updating rooms and services. Itโs a community treasure for sure!
The history of the property is very interesting. I wish we had more time to explore and to take the tour. Our room was very large, clean, and comfortable. Our bathroom was very clean. The shower was a bit too small, but new and clean. We would definitely stay again.
