"This is a hotel opened in 1924. The hotel is full of classic wordwork and charm. Although the building is old, the rooms have been updated and are very comfortable. Nice continental breakfast each morning. Great location in the middle of the downtown Astoria area, with many wonderful shops and restaurants within an easy walking distance. Easy two block to the trolley station for the trolley which runs along the waterfront on the Columbia River."

"I was under the impression that we would have an in suite bathroom, but that was not the case. A minor inconvenience. The room was comfortable, with a nice view of the river. Breakfast was simple, but if you want a hot breakfast, there is a cafe called The Roost right next door. It was a nice, relaxing weekend. If we go again, I will be sure the confirm that the room is self contained."
