โJust WOW! What a wonderful find, and it's a must-visit. The staff, food, service, rooms, and wonderful patrons made this a highlight of my trip to Wales.
This is a little gem, and you must go out of your way to stay and dine in the restaurant. โ
โBeautifull venue, great and very friendly personell. Great room. One minor point, we had a room in the attic and with 30+ and only a ventilator is was very very hot for a long time into the night. But that is the only minor point the staff made up for it in friendlyness and service.โ
โGorgeous room with luxurious bathroom.
Loved the extra touches like posh hot chocolate and biscuits as part of the tea and coffee supplies in room and water, milk and orange juice in fridge in room.
Selection of books to read on shelf and safe for security.
Location is fab. Right in the centre of Barmouth.
Brilliant free car park and gorgeous breakfast.โ
โWarm, friendly welcome by the owner.
As it turned out, we were the only visitors staying in the hotel, so had a nice opportunity for a chat over a beer - well stocked with what appeared to be the full range of bottled beers from Purple Moose Brewery of Porthmadog.

โA warm welcome, lovely room with a view to the sea. Room is modern and clean, just right. Location perfect, a 2 minute walk to the sea front, would stay again.โ
โWe absolutely loved our stay at the Royston. We both opted in for the 3 course dinner and the food was excellent. Worth staying in a wet Welsh evening. We really appreciated how as a dog friendly establishment they cater for our dog. Treats in a room and lots of fuss.
Lovely small touches like fresh homemade cookies in the room , great full cooked fry up in the morning. Great sized room , with en suite . โ
