"The location of Comfort Suites Virginia Beach is excellent, including a path from the lobby area straight out onto the boardwalk. Rooms have balconies that are oceanfront so great view -- especially of the beautiful sunrises. Good hot breakfast with a lot of choices.Leiania (spelling is wrong, I'm sure!) was extremely helpful with check in, room change to a lower level, and trying to please about 5 different guests at the same time all with a smile on her face. She deserves a raise for customer service! Everyone at the front desk was very personable, no matter the time of day! While it is very clean, good breakfast, comfortable beds, and great location Comfort Suites needs to be upgraded in the general areas -- paint peeling, rusty door frames on entrances from garage, heavy doors to balcony have had security hooks added because the door handles don't work. We were disappointed there was no sliding door to balcony so that we could hear the waves and the heavy balcony door was impossible to prop open with what was available."

"This hotel needs some updating. We booked for the sand soccer weekend first off. The AC in the room was not cold. I asked them to come look at it. Don't think anybody came. They couldn't move us. It stayed warm in the room the entire day and over night I can say this I was miserable. They were booked out for the whole weekend and for us to change hotels at that last minute of Friday was not a choice. We paid way too much money for an awful experience. This hotel needs some updating. We got yelled at by the receptionist, leaving about elevator. A couple have dropped their entire cooler in the elevator so they were cleaning it up, which prevented the elevator to close. She came running around the corner like there was a fire saying you have to let the elevator go mind you the entire cooler was spilled all over the elevator. We were still in the elevator had to ride it back up. And it was hot. The pool is yet to be desirable closed early. I wish the restaurant was more open. To the ocean"

"The view was great right on the boardwalk. But they charged my card without me knowing it and they didn’t even know why. They were suppose to text me or let me know cause it happened on my last night they never did. It took four days to get my back account straightened back out. The pool was cold and full of sand where people came for the beach and jumped it. Never seen anyone cleaning it. Dirty bandaids were laying by the pool. Several of the brick around the pool were loss. They put a $250 deposit hold on your card and charge you $15 a day to park that isn’t included in your room. The door to the garage on your floor wasn’t working right. Instead of them fixing it they just left it unlocked."

"Very over priced!! Carpets looked shabby, in room coffee is terrible but u can pay 4 bucks for Starbucks! No free breakfast, our dinner was 50 for one soup and a cold entree!!! Hot water iffy, wallpaper coming off walls. Internet spotty at best. Beds very comfortable though housekeeping was great!"
