"This hotel is a total scam. They state that no outside food or drinks are allowed on the premises. One night, staff saw us bringing a pizza back to our room but said nothing at the time. The next morning, they suddenly demanded a €50 fine. We tried to reason with them, but they insisted on charging my credit card anyway. This was an unfair dispute and an unreasonable charge. Luckily, my credit card company eventually reversed the €50 charge. Please think twice before booking this hotel."

"Nice staff, plentiful breakfast, clean room. However we stayed in March and the room was unbearably hot. It was like sleeping in a furnace. We did not sleep the two nights we stayed. We were told by reception the heat was automatic and there was nothing they could do. Other guests were complaining of the same thing. For the price we paid to stay here this was pretty unacceptable. The bathroom also had a radiator blasting heat at all times that could not be controlled. "

"My wife and I had a wonderful experience staying here. The hotel has been beautifully restored and has many modern features while keeping its historic charm. The outside landscaping is spectacular, and we really enjoyed walking around the property or having a drink outside. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, and every need was taken care of. They were so nice and friendly. Also, the breakfasts were great! For anyone driving, this location is easy to drive to and there is lots of parking. This was a nice feature compared to some hotels closer to the city centre where driving and parking could be an issue. The distance from the city centre wasn’t an issue for us and we were able to reach the walls of the old city within 15-20 minutes of walking. We enjoyed this because at night it was nice a peaceful around the hotel. I would easily come back to stay at this hotel and would recommend it to any of my friends coming to Siena. "

"The hotel was just outside of the town, so the location was good. It was a beautiful property. The breakfast was good. Just be prepared to walk stairs. No lifts. But overall, good. "

"Property was clean a tidy, was a little dated but still nice, view over Siena from the terrace was stunning. Staff were helpful and friendly giving us a map and guide of places of interest in the town. Included breakfast had great options and car park was convenient and safe."
