“Lovely hotel great location ”

“Our Cosy Double was as advertised -small but well furnished and equipped with everything you could need. It was very clean. We had a lovely view of the extensive gardens. The breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice and freshly prepared and great service too. We also had a meal in the bar and that too was very good. The gardens are delightful and we walked around them many times and it was a real bonus to have several sightings of the deer. A small negative was that we had not realised that...

“Great hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was freshly cooked with lots of it and was delicious. Although a fan was provided, our room was very hot but our stay did coincide with the hottest days of this year so far. Would definitely stay there again.”

“The room was very clean with tea, coffee, milk and sugar provided. Not a great selection of teas but fine for us. The beds were comfortable and sheets clean and ironed. Small TV but that didn't bother us as we were out more than in. Good selection at breakfast with cereal, yoghurts, fruit juice. Very good cooked breakfast with several options. Tea and coffee served in your own pots. Staff really friendly.”

“Debra and Drew were very welcoming hosts. We used The Barn as a lauch pad to visit Chartwell and Knole. Perfect choice. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. We were spoilt for choice regarding local eateries. We chose The White Hart for dinner and it was top knotch. ”

“Overpriced, in my opinion. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was clean......as long as you didn't look up. Lots of dust webs up at the crown moldings and ceiling light fixture. Dust webs in bathroom were even worse, and mold on ceiling also. Some floor tiles in bathroom were loose and rocked underfoot. Ate breakfast in the restaurant. It was OK, but nothing to rave about. Anyway, it wasn't a horrible stay by any means, but the room was 20-40 GBP...

“Good hotel and comfortable bed. Had cancel the second night as the hotel was closed. Access for an 81 year old was very difficult. Lots of stairs to manage. The very cold weather made it even more difficult. The manager was very good and helpful. We hope to get a refund for the second night. The location was excellent and the pub was very quirky and quite special. ”

“Poorly maintained and looks a tad unloved. But only seemd one staff member working there and huge place to maintain. Doors left open so anyone can walk in to the areas for patreons only. Bedroom was rundown but we were only stopp”
