โSpacious room, musky smell. No beach access, walking down was a trek to a full rock beach. Mattresses and pillows are in need of replacing. We enjoyed our stay regardless. The staff is impeccable so welcoming and always there for you. They go above and beyond. The snacks, coffee and unlimited popcorn was a hit with all of us. โItโs our third stay over the span of 4 years. Excellent motel, great staff and service, clean room. Quiet location right by the water, very conveniently situated from the transportation standpoint, close to Downtown Nanaimo, and many restaurants and stores are within 10-15 min drive.โ
โThe only issue we had was we were rushed at check out, housekeeping knocked on our door at 10:45 saying records indicated we had already checked out. As we were walking out the door the phone started ringing. This was a Monday morning, weโre sure it wasnโt that busy that the room needed to be straightened promptly at 11:00. โ
โWe stayed here after travelling from the interior and catching the late ferry. It was a great stopover with our two young kids. The room was clean, updated, and the whole grounds felt safe to be in. We showed up after check in hours but the reception left our key for us so we didnโt have to worry about timing. I would recommend staying here !โ
