"Grand old villa, with grand furniture. Close to Mt Etna cable car, very convenient. Our chef prepared fresh ravioli, and rissoto, plus delicious mains for our meal at night. Followed up with fresh prepared sicilian breakfast in the morning. We got lost due to google maps, and staff came to find us, which was appreciated. Room was comfy and huge, a very enjoyable night."

"We had a truly lovely time at Shalai. They came recommended by friends who stayed earlier in summer. The hospitality was amazing. Marta and her team were so helpful. We loved their dining recommendation and the resort itself was so well maintained and comfortable. Amazing breakfast and we used the Spa features and treatments as a special treat and we are so glad we did.Not something we normally indulge in but it was a special occasion and was well worth it- great value. "The owner is giving a personnalized service, he is there for the customer, we feel it is natural and not forced or overacted. The hotel is really close from the volcano but unfortunately really far from the cities"

"The management company was great. They sent me an email informing me that the property was distant from stores and provided with information of a local town. When I arrived at the property they were quick to reply to my messages. The property manager even came out to meet me. The property is well suited for a minimum of five guest from what I saw. The bathroom needed some cleaning and repairs, also it’s a bit small. I was only there for one night but satisfied overall. "

"My wife and I stumbled upon this hotel while looking for a last minute reservation. It is a mini resort, they have a beautiful property (bar, resturaunt, lounge, pool). The hotel was very welcoming. Easy to park, you would have to have a car to stay here. Great experience and value. "
