“We absolutely loved this property and everything about it! The room and bed were so comfortable, very clean, and cosy. I had the best night's sleep and loved the shower! The garden is beautiful, and the two gentlemen running it were so lovely! Did I mention the delicious breakfast! This hotel is top class, and we can't wait to come back again! “Lovely building and really helpful owners / staff . Was really clean and tidy and the breakfast was very good . Only a couple of minor things really , the shower head kept dipping down so was a bit of pain when you were shampooing etc . Bit noisy at night time but obviously the very nice owners can’t help that .”

“The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and spotless. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room, which was very spacious. The bed was quite comfortable and the rooms seemed to be sound-proof because it was so quiet and relaxing. Livermead beach is located across the street; the beach is beautiful, but the sand disappears at high tide, so be sure to plan your beach day around this. We also loved the stunning views from the rooftop terrace bar. We would love to return to Torquay and stay here...

“Excellent from the moment we checked in. Sam directed us to park the car which was too big for the spaces allocated. He provided us with a parking permit so parking was still free. Room was spotless with a fridge in the room. Bathroom was impeccable. Towels provided were new and fresh. Nice to have fresh milk available from a fridge on the landing to use I stems of the UHT pods. Sam and his Wife could not have been better hosts. “Nice clean swimming pool 1.4m deep, heated to 28/29°C. Nicely cooked breakfast with a selection of cereals, fruit and croissants. The hotel is at the top of a hill which is a bit of a pain if on foot with mobility issues but fortunately the number 12 bus stops not too far away at the Central Church allowing a short walk back on more level ground. “Lovely spot overlooking the town.Bit of a hill to get back from town We stayed in a refurbished large double which was very large with a king-size bed. Also had aircon which worked very well in a particularly hot spell. Only issue is if you had mobility issues there was a small number of steps to get to the bathroom. Breakfast very nice with a choice that was cooked to order. Restaurant and drinks were a little pricey but very nice”

“Outdoor pool has been out of action for some time, no mention of this on the web site... The hotel Is listed, as having indoor and out door pools which was one the reasons we pick it. The weather was fabulous and we were disappointed there was no out door pool facility...”

“had a 2 night stay and location good and in its heyday sure was a great hotel, but it is run down and needs a lot of money spent on it, room was very worn, wallpaper hanging off wall and bit tatty. we had a family room with bunk bed, and this it was very old and very noisy. The weather was very hot at the time of stay which was great for the weekend but being on 3rd floor the rooms were very uncomfortable.”
