"Everything was great for the most part. My boyfriend and I stayed there for a night and tried the pool. It was fantastic, although the hot tub wasn’t available. The staff was great when we checked in, but the ones who were there when we left were a bit rude. I don’t really mind that, though.
The breakfast was okay. We had waffles and boiled eggs, but we really wished the egg omelet was scrambled eggs instead. Also, the peppers were a bit too much for us. Not everyone wants that. Maybe on the side
Overall, I would definitely stay again. I would give it an 8.5 out of 10. "
"The rooms are amazing I love that it was set up like a mini apartment full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, actual real utensils & items in kitchen area. Bed was as comfortable as a bed not yours can be. Love the sitting area. Which you could block off from bed area. Lots of shelves, drawers, space, Blackout curtains & a light switch that turned everything off. There was a little market in hotel, so easy to use, a little pricey but so convenient. There was a gym & a pool (has steps to get in & out) which we did not use but was amazing. Staff was fantabulous. The woman who checked us in on Friday was having a really really really rough day but she was still pleasant & very helpful & to whoever the idiot was that upset her you lucky I didn’t know where you were , you were rude, the staff did what they could especially as she was by herself. It was overall an amazing hotel & stay. It was a little tricky to find it but it’s right near a smoothie king shop, we got a little lost at first lol as it was behind some places but it was completely worth it. Only thing I might suggest is a sign on the road high enough to see easily. The breakfast was awesome. I loved the waffles. They have 24 hour drink station & filtered water fill ups if you have a bottle or cup to fill up with by the gym & in the gym. It was very clean too. They have a beautiful fire pit area you could use outside, if it was nice out. Truly the best place I have ever stayed & I do not write reviews usually lol."
Best Western Plus Kingston Hotel And Conference Center
2/10 Terrible
"The carpet in our room smelled like urine. The staff was friendly however the hotel is very rundown and feels dirty. We spent as little time as possible there"
"The hotel is a bit dated to some but that’s what keeps the city rif raff away. Hikers and outdoor enthusiasts stay here so be prepared to use the grounds and stay outside most of the time. When you finally do crash inside you will find very comfortable beds, amazing views and complimentary water. Internet was good. Main Inn restaurant food was delicious. Catering food fantastic. Shared areas with fireplaces were perfect. No elevator but only 2 floors. "
"Room was clean, however a few things to note -
Furniture is a little dated and due for update. Tub was fine although it needs to be slip proofed for those of us who are seniors and need to be extra careful about falls ( definitely a potential liability issue for hotel).
Breakfast was good and water view was a bonus.
Overall, it was a charming place ( albeit older), off the beaten path of hotel row along Route 9 in Poughkeepsie."
