"This is an older motel.... room was clean and well stocked. Our room was at the end of a hallway and a convenient entry door at the back of the building. Parking was plentiful and with handicapped tag, as we were right next to the door. I am glad on my reservation I made a comment that we preferred a ground level room if there is no elevator. Inside this back entry door was a set of stairs going to the second level.... very hard to lug suitcases etc. up steps for seniors. Breakfast area is pleasant and a variety of hot sausage and eggs and bagels, muffins, etc Something I had never seen before was premade French toast....heat up in the toaster and enjoy with butter/syrup. A variety of juices and coffee available. My husband went down there one morning and found none of the containers were being refilled and it wasn't that late. This stayed open until 10 am which is later than most other motel/hotel breakfast areas."

"We had two rooms and two different experiences. Our room was clean and clean and great! Our friends who were traveling with us had an older room and the air had to be worked on and the tv didn’t work. They said there was a lot of dust in their room. They might have switched but it was quite full and they would have had to move from a King bed to something smaller. We had planned on eating at their bar and restaurant but they was a psychic reading event happening so it was crowded. We managed to get seats at the bar. Once again my husband and I had an enjoyable dinner that we shared of a stuffed pork chop, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Our companions did not like their food or drinks. They are not picky people either. I’m just letting you know this because this hotel may be a “hit or miss” situation for you."

"The door keys do not always work. Required help from the staff. Need a luggage cart. Some rooms are very far from the parking lot and closest doors. Very good accessibility with indoor ramp as well front door ramp. Glad there was an indoor pool."

"Beautiful spa and hotel. Comfortable beds. Ascot pub is great. Didn't try the others. Free shuttle to Mohegan Sun s a nice perk. I only put 'good' for a few things. And only because I feel at this price point, you're paying for attention to small details like messy caulk in my bathroom, broken tiles in the spa pool,and room service forgot utensils and said they'd be back in a minute but I had to call 15 minutes later and by then my food was cold (and wasn't cheap). If this was half the price I'd never bring this up but there's certainly expectations at higher price points. And the spa should try to control people's volumes & phones while inside. I know they cannot control what people do, but something posted or staff reminders of this at check in would hike go a long way. All in all, very luxurious, good staff, great amenities in both the spa and hotel. A-"
