Room was not cleaned well, nasty place to stay. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but went to the desk and did stay 1 day. Breakfast was mini muffins and oranges. Not such place to stay

If I could give this property a negative 10 I would. We came into the property at 615 at night after a long day of travel. No rooms were ready. No rooms had been cleaned. Cleaning staff didn’t show up that day. The property looked dingy. Warm water sitting in the drink dispenser as you walk in. People waiting all over the lobby trying to get their rooms. One man had been waiting for an hour and half for the front desk to go clean his room. Owner was on premises but didn’t seem to care. Front desk staff tried to go clean a room while we waited forever to cancel to go find other accommodations. I’ve never seen a Hampton Inn run like this.

Expedia, this Cañon City was unclean! Fire doors propped open. So outdated and stained! Dusting was not done. Desk unattended most of the time. No amenities except the 2 shown in the photo - 1 towel. Disgusting. We left and would like a response and a reimbursement!

They had issues before we arrived with key code machines. The issue was the cleanliness of the rooms. Hair in the beds, dog poop under the desk, among other things. Would not recommend to anyone until this property has major changes.

The cloth chairs and the bench at the end of the bed were filthy. We had no towels, wash clothes, or hand towels. We had no ice bucket and they brought it to us without a lid or liner. One of the lamps was very loose and hard to turn off ad on. The linens on the bed looked old and the pillows were hard. We did like the shower. The garbage cans had no liners and they were old, dirty and rusted out. We could have gone to the dilapidated Quality Inn down the street for the same kind of room for half of the price. We expect more out of a Hampton Inn.

Not very clean inside and out. Water lines busted. Elevator was broke. Kitchen area was not clean. Bedding was very itchy. Ice machine was not working. Stayed there 4 years ago and wow really went down hill. No discount given for the inconvenience. Front desk person could only say we’re short staffed, more like staff didn’t care.

I stayed at this property last year and it was clean and pleasant. I stayed 4 days , Mon- Thurs June 2025 and it was low staffed. Staff complaining about being understaffed and working excessive hours. Hotel hallways are incredibly dirty. If the weekend had been heavy traffic the hallways could have been vaccumed at least once during my 4 day stay. There were no towels. I had to continue to ask for a towel to shower. All of the hotels towels were in the laundry and it was clear that the laundry was not being kept up on. Bathroom had long hair all over the tile on the floor. Large wall size mirror was broken and leaning against the wall. Hazard if traveling with a child. The only chair to sit on in the room was covered in stains The overall lack of cleanliness kept me from eating at the hotel. I assume there was a change in management and a significant problem with keeping staff retained. I rarely make comments on reviews, but I was terribly disappointed in this hotel this year, it was a major difference since last year. I will stay down the road at another hotel next year.

No one at the front desk to check me, or any of the other 8 people waiting to check in. Once someone showed up. The computers were down. Once I was issued a room and key card. I went to the room and it was not cleaned. I went back to the desk. waited another 30 minutes. watching other people in line canceling and leaving. Then I was told the room was now clean. So I went back, only to find out, there were no towels. Shower curtain was wrapped around the shower rod. I went back to the desk. They had one towel. The rest were in the wash!

There were no workers/staff there they had all been fired. No clean towels, no TV remote in room, and the closet mirror door fell off but didn't break. See pic. The breakfast items were terrible, understaffed. Two people working. We don't blame the staff, we think Hilton is responsible for this whole ordeal.

If you're considering staying at this hotel, think again. Our stay from June 8 to June 13 was a complete disaster. We booked a handicap-accessible room due to one guest's prosthetic leg and wheelchair use but were given a non-accessible room on the 3rd floor. The staff provided a shower chair, but the overhead bathroom light didn't work, and on June 9, the elevator was out of order, forcing us to navigate stairs—an unacceptable risk for someone with mobility issues. Things worsened when we found a water leak in the main hallway, with no staff present to address it. After a short outing, we returned to find a sign stating this hotel was temporarily closed, with a phone number that went unanswered. We entered through a side door, but the elevator was still broken. A staff member offered to move us to a 1st-floor room, but hours later, the elevator remained out of service, and we had to rely on her friend for help moving our luggage. The new room lacked essential amenities like a refrigerator and never received housekeeping during our six-day stay. Our sleep was repeatedly interrupted by a fire alarm and a man shouting in the hallway, prompting us to call the police for safety. This hotel was clearly understaffed, with one overwhelmed employee managing everything, often working over 72 hours straight. Overall, this hotel failed to provide basic hospitality and safety. Your comfort deserves better—choose another hotel.

Where do I start! Wrong room given to us so had to get a roll away that was like sleeping on a chain link fence, bathroom had not been cleaned, hallways and elevator were dirty, no soap, no Kleenex, phone was broken in the room, thermostat only went down. 2 beetles in our beds, weeds everywhere around property, someone (possibly staff) smoking pot with a friend in the lobby. Needless to say we did NOT stay the second night and were afraid to eat the breakfast due to the poor condition of the overall property as far as cleanliness. They did refund the second night we didn't stay and the beds were comfortable but we didn't sleep well because we heard from locals that the homeless encampment near the property was allowed to come in through unlocked doors and sleep in the yet to be cleaned rooms! WORST hotel experience ever! The front desk guys were nice but obviously lacked the professionalism I have learned to expect from Hampton Inn and were completely understaffed. The owner obviously doesn't care at all about this property!

There was no staff on site, the rooms were filthy, to get towels there was no staff. Had to get TP as well only 1/2 roll when arrived. No breakfast as promised, it was a ghost town and no staffing at all. Then the 2nd day, the ceiling caved in with leaking pipes by the front desk, and the elevators stopped working. Only one ice machine worked. Breakfast was avaliable on the 2nd day and the oatmeal was undercooked and pasty. This was the worst hotel experience ever!!!! Run for the hills, do not stay here.

Rooms where not ready appon arrival. It was 5pm so that should have been done long before had to wait 2 hours. Hotel is very dirty. Staff is no where to be found. No towels at the pool. Hotel is ran down, went to the room had no towels no door handle on the bathroom. Called the hotel service for extra towels. No one came to the room, went down to customer service never got the towels they gave me a roll away bed that I took up to the room. Breakfast was no breakfast. Asked about the pool then hot tub. One of our excited things to do while in Colorado get in the hot tub. Well nope no hot tub also looked like the pool needed to be cleaned up. Looks like the hotel needs to be shut down. Noticed on main exit doors there was no spring on them. We should get part of our money for this. It was just awful to say the least. Even another lady there said she was going to say something about the place.

The staff was fabulous, but the property is in need of a lot of repairs and upkeep. We arrived and fist thing off, they were installing a new key card system and our keys would not open our doors, the rooms didn’t have towels they were being laundered as we slept, the TV remotes didn’t work, internet was not working , lights were out in the rooms, one of our rooms didn’t have any sheets on the bed and not working lights in the room. What a mess. The poor staff were doing all they could do to keep things up, but they do not have enough help, poor ownership and maintenance to this property. We have always stayed there in the past and it has always been great, but because of poor ownership and management this property isn’t worth the stay. They need to either clean it up or close it. The staff need help and guidance to get this property up to a livable property. What a shame to see it in this condition.

First room the bed was full of hair, no towls and dirty washcloths in the shower and left over trash in shower. The hotel clerk let us have another room which also did not have towls, toothpaste in the sink and the toilet over flowed as soon as it flushed. We left and stayed at holiday inn and was told 3 other families that day also came from the Hampton for the same issues and they get several of their guests from them a month. DO NOT STAY HERE

The hotel didn't have clean furniture and was everything was clearly dated. The included breakfast wasn't refilled and guests coming to have breakfast at 8am had nothing to eat or drink. Our beds were horrible. There weren't any fresh towels available, swim towels were offered instead. WIFI wasn't working. Water in all rooms ran out for about an hour. A couple started banging on our door at 3am as they were told by the receptionist to go to a room which was already booked. Staff had no interest to work there and were occupied with their own issues. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there, especially when you have a family with kids.
