This hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to everything. It's a short stroll to bus stop #8 (Hallgrimskirkja) where you can be taken to all of the incredible sights Iceland has to offer. My room was well-sized, clean, equipped with a towel warmer which I used to warm up my clothes before a journey into the cold. The staff was kind and helpful. What a perfect place to stay for a trip to Reykjavik!

The location is unbeatable—situated on a quiet street just a short walk from Hallgrímskirkja and Rainbow Street, with a grocery store only five minutes away. While the property feels quite dated, the rooms are comfortable. My only mild annoyance was the traditional key system; the hotel requires you to leave your key at the front desk whenever you go out. It’s a bit of a hassle to wait in line just to get into your room at the end of the day, while the staff attended to other guests. If Hotel Odinsve upgraded to a modern key card system, the guest experience would be significantly improved.

The hotel and the room were clean, staff was great. We even got over the smell of the hot water. We understand why it's like that, but it wasn't mentioned anywhere, so it was a bit of a surprise. The biggest problem was hearing everything in the hallway and above us. One night. It sounded like the upstairs guest was rearranging the furniture.
