The rooms are small but we'll designed and had everything we needed. It was clean, but there's no air conditioning. Paid parking is plentiful and the location is close enough to walk to many sites.

I loved the location by the park and pond and the lovely view from my window. The sunny common room and well equipped kitchen were really great and the bathrooms very clean. It was convenient walking distance from the airport bus station. The university cafe and cafeteria were closed so it was a bit of a hike to closest restaurants but all in all a highly recommended stay.

A bit further away from the center but still walkable distance. The room was clean and included bathroom. Share massive kitchen and a great living room. Parking is free at the weekend.

Was very close to city centre. BSI bus terminal a 10 minute walk away. Beautiful lake across the road. Access to the student bar and snack bar. We had a private bathroom. Beds were really comfortable and the kitchen and laundry were well appointed. Very well priced and cooking facilities made it a more affordable vacation.

This hostile was perfectly located in downtown Reykjavik. It is also right next to a bus stop. AND 3 minutes away from the BSI Bus Terminal where one rides FlyBus to and from airport. SUPER CLEAN! Highly recommend upgrading to private bathroom — way worth it!

I would have given a full five star because the building is beautiful. Rooms are beautiful. The staff is kind and helpful. Amenities are great! however, the shower drain really gave off a bad smell and the vent in the bathroom isn’t strong enough to remove the drain smell and it creeps out into the room so that was very unfortunate because everything else was fantastic. Location was fantastic staff was kind. Everything was top-notch but the drain smell was pretty bad. I hope the management can work on that.

Nice student vibe. 5 minute walk from the BSI bus station and 10 minute walk to the RKV airport. Rooms are basic but very functional. Every room cluster has a large kitchen with common sitting area with a television and access to outdoors. Property feels safe and is close to the University and Museum of Iceland. Ate at the student cafe: simple but good. Was able to store luggage until check in time. Pricing is probably the lowest you can find with Reykjavik being so expensive. Walking distance to a pretty park and downtown. Great place to stay for one or two night when traveling on the way to elsewhere in Iceland.

Friendly staff were very helpful. And social spaces, like the kitchen and the commons room, were excellent. However, the room was very rudimentary, with no amenities at all, and it smelled of bathroom odors, probably from sewage. If you do not expect too much, you will be satisfied with this hostel, especially considering the high prices of other alternatives. Still, it would be better if they provided customers with amenities and a clean room.
