โThis isnt a manned hotel.. Its comfortable clean rooms in an unoccupied house.
That being said its secure warm and a great stay. Slept really well. The bathroom and shower where great. 10 min walk into town great quiet location.
I had to contact owners as door code wasn't received. Call was answered quickly and help was brilliantโ
โThe location is superb. Easy walk from the train and then youโre right in the heart of the city. Staff are friendly and nothing too much trouble.
The bedroom and en-suite were lovely but the only issue I had was the bed in Room 2 was really uncomfortable. I donโt usually notice these things but it did detract. The duvet was also wafer thin on a cool night.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and very generous. I had dinner there too and the salmon was exceptional. โ
โVery nice clean property - well mantained room - even the basic category that we used .I think Sam at the Reception who checked us in was very clear and transparent in his communication โ

โGreat spot with easy access to The Shambles and a host of great food and entertainment in York. Our check in was easy and the concierge (I wish a had taken her name!) gave us a fantastic dinner recommendation! โ
