"This was a great property close to the best shopping areas as well as the major attractions. The only complaint I have is that it is not a bed and breakfast as it states. "

"Our stay at Hotel Santa Maria Novella was wonderful! The staff was exceptional — especially the team at the breakfast area. They were always so welcoming, friendly, and attentive, serving with genuine smiles and making sure every guest felt cared for. Their warmth really made a difference and set such a positive tone for each day.
The rooms were a bit small, but they were very comfortable, beautifully maintained, and had a classic charm that matched the elegance of the hotel. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Florence, close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence!"
"This review is for a 4-person suite, which might differ from other rooms.
I had a very enjoyable stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The room was very nice — well designed and spacious, with two bathroom sinks, two hair dryers, a tub with jets, and a separate shower. The complimentary mini bar was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was good (8/10), offering a decent selection and good quality. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the Accademia Gallery where Michelangelo’s David is located. The hotel also had a convenient self-serve laundry area with one washing machine and one dryer. There were also water dispensers on every floor as well. I also loved the pillows, they were very supportive unlike most other places.
There were, however, a couple of small downsides. The hair dryers were quite weak and tended to overheat, temporarily shutting off after a few minutes of use. Also, there was only one iron available in the laundry room, though staff mentioned there were one or two more that could be requested for in-room use.
Overall a very pleasant stay. This was probably the best hotel I stayed at while in Italy, a great option for visiting Florence."
"I had overall an excellent stay at the Hotel Calimala Florence. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. It was excellently located. I thought the bathroom a bit cramped, but I had a small room anyway. The breakfast buffet was fine, just not at the price they had it. I did enjoy dinner there, though. Overall it worked out very very well. For other travelers, I will point out that there are two buildings very close together; the one with the rooftop restaurant is "Angel Roofbar & Dining" on Google maps, which was confusing at first."
" The rooms, bathrooms and lobby etc., were absolutely spotless. The Breakfast was awesome. Delicious food, great selection, varied healthy options each day.
The service was absolutely the best service I ever had..anywhere. They were so kind, helpful and attentive. You are lucky to have such a great staff. Especially. Rachel, Angela, Clyde and Nestor. Next time I’m in Florence I will be staying at the Solo Experience. "
"The hotel is located at walking distance to major landmarks in Florence which is pretty convenience. We had excellent customer service and we really enjoy our 2 day stay in Florence! The breakfast bar was also outstanding. We really love this hotel and we’ll come back. "
