Top Sasso Marconi Hotel Reviews
Savhotel Fiera Bologna
10/10 Excellent
"Super hotel with parking. Less than 5 min walk to the bus into the town center. Reception staff could not be more helpful. Reasonable menu for dinner, and good buffet selection for breakfast. The rooms have all the amenities you need. The roof terrace is a pleasant venue for relaxing or enjoying a drink."
Starhotels Excelsior
10/10 Excellent
"We arrived in Bologna by train for a 2-night stay and the Starhotels Excelsior was a great place to land. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station and within a 20 minute walk to the center of town, which made it ideal for our needs. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient, and the room was spacious - you could walk around without tripping over suitcases - with a comfortable bed. Also, it was very quiet inside the room - any noise from the street below did not reach inside our room. The hotel was a basic place to stay for a couple of nights and met our needs perfectly."
Royal Hotel Carlton
10/10 Excellent
"Staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially the front desk attendant who also gave us excellent dining recommendations. Location is conveniently located within a short distance from Metro station and direct walk to some of the best restaurants and historic piazza."
Best Western Plus Tower Hotel Bologna
8/10 Good
"Seems like recently refurbished. Is clean inside."
Hotel Palace Bologna Centro
8/10 Good
"The location was great only 5 min walk from Piazza Maggiore, and lots of amenities nearby. Staff were helpful. My room was clean, but the carpets in the main common areas look like they are the same age as the building. That would be my only criticism. Otherwise, for the price it was a pretty basic hotel that did the job."
Hotel Metropolitan
10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel, great location, good sized rooms. Modern hotel & very clean. Staff are extremely friendly & helpful. Good breakfast selection & excellent service at breakfast. Would stay again."
Elizabeth Lifestyle Hotel
8/10 Good
"Good one night stay, parking was really useful for us and also right on a bus route into Bologna old town. Would not fancy walking it. Breakfast was decent, nice little outdoor area. Overall comfortable and good value."
UNA Hotels Bologna Centro
8/10 Good
"Comfortable for a one night stay. Close to restaurants and shopping. Right across the street from the train station."
Ostello Bello Bologna
8/10 Good
"I booked a private room, which was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Using your phone to access the room can be a little tricky if you’re travelling without cellular service or data, but the staff will also provide you with a code that can be used to enter your room, as well as access the front door and elevator after hours. There are secure lockers available to rent, along with laundry facilities for an additional charge. I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast option, but it looked quite good. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the lounge and bar area were comfortable and well maintained. The location is excellent for anyone looking to stay close to the train station and the main sights, with plenty of restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable stay in a convenient location. I would also be happy to check out their other locations if the opportunity presents itself."
